just had a thought -
one thing about the Red October steel plant having obsolete machinery and being a bit of a mess is I'll hazard the eyewitness CIA humint sauce testimony contradicts press accounts of the great and glorious X year plan in the worker's paradise
the report also stresses the quality workers canteen / club (unusual); is this because the plant represents more than a plant, and were foreign correspondents always shown around this? foreign correspondents who would probably not know that the show-piece plant was in major part obsolete but wrote GLOWING reports anyway?
also some of the machinery is of German manufacture. the exact non-Jew tricks i.e. "Hitler was a Jew" background of all this would be inerdasting to learn - where did it come from and who paid for it / cleared it (if applicable).
The report was dated in 1954, when was the last German officially returned from the USSR?
