TOPLINE The White House has joined businesses and authorities across the country in signalling its expectation for violence in the aftermath of Tuesday’s election, with federal authorities reportedly planning to surround the complex with a “non-scalable” fence and National Guardsmen on standby in D.C..
On Monday, a “non-scalable” fence will be built around the entire White House perimeter, according to reports from NBC News and CNN.
The fence, which will be the same type used during racial justice protests this summer, will reportedly secure the Ellipse, Lafayette Square and the White House complex.
250 National Guardsmen, reporting to Metro Police officials, will also be on standby, according to NBC News.
