>Smedley Butler stopped Prescott Bush's 1933 fascist coup attempt
I'm torn about this. Obviously Prescott Bush was not a fascist, but what we would today call a NWO globalist or cabal. FDR on the other hand was a progressive socialist that did lasting damage to the Republic.
Gen. Butler knew the score and I believe he opted to defend the office of the Presidency rather than see it given over to the cabal, which he despised as he had been duped into being their "muscle".
With the duly elected president in place, at least there was hope the political ship could right itself eventually, as it finally did in 1986 and 1994. Let's make it stick this time.
Semper Fi, Gen. Butler, Semper Fi.
