Something going on with staffing polling places as well(in CA). Poll workers used to all be volunteers. My mother even worked the polls for 20 years. Might be c19, but this year, GFAnon, said they were "drafting" people at the (County)District Atty Ofc. Was going to require 5 days training. She claimed a hardship. Not sure is her office is the only office tapped to draft pollworkers. Might have drafted other county workers as well.
