Where I live in Ohio was like that for many many years. Every election we called the local republican office and bitched them out about why there was NEVER a repub running on the ticket for anything so we had to vote for the dems, but they always wanted money to get out the vote. This year was different, only 2 places on the ballot here didn't give you a choice.
You need to bitch at your local peeps to make a change.
