QAnon supporters behind pro-Tump caravans blocking roads across the country

QAnon supporters have embraced plans to disrupt roads around the United States to show their support for Trump

Believers in the conspiracy theory QAnon have backed multiple “Trump train” barricades of roads around the country, including an incident involving a Joe Biden campaign bus in Texas, according to new analysis.

In Marin County and Temecula, California; in New York, and in Louisville, Kentucky, pro-Trump groups have taken to the streets to try and block roads.

At least 18 of the listed event organizers in 14 states have openly supported QAnon on social media, HuffPost found.

On 30 October a group of pickup trucks flying Trump flags confronted the Biden bus as it was travelling along Interstate 35, between Austin and San Antonio. A white SUV that was accompanying the bus collided with one of the Trump supporter’s trucks.

On the same day, Biden's campaign cancelled a joint event in Pflugerville with the Austin Young Democrats and Texas House Representative Sheryl Cole due to security reasons.

Donald Trump responded on Twitter: “I LOVE TEXAS”.

When the FBI confirmed it was investigating, Mr Trump said: "In my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong. Instead, the FBI & Justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists, and agitators of ANTIFA, who run around burning down our Democrat run cities and hurting our people!"

Australia Joins India, US and Japan in Indian Ocean War Games

By Anjana Pasricha

November 03, 2020 09:03 AM

Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) joined the Royal Australian Navy Anzac-class frigate HMAS Ballarat (FFH 155) during integrated operations in the South China Sea, Oct 27, 2020. (US Navy)

NEW DELHI - The Australian navy joined Indian, Japanese and American warships for annual Malabar exercises that began Tuesday in the Indian Ocean marking the growing strategic convergence of the four countries amid rising concerns about Chinese assertiveness in Asia.

India’s decision to include Australia for the annual drills comes in the wake of a push by Washington for deeper security collaboration in the “Quad,” the informal group that includes the United States, Japan, Australia and India as a counter to China.

Australia returns to the exercises after 13 years, when its participation triggered strident Chinese objections. But this time the Malabar exercises will endure as all four participants seek a long-term counterbalancing strategy to China according to analysts.

“In 2007 the Chinese threatened and cajoled different members to drop out and effectively defanged it,” according to Sreeram Chaulia, Dean at the Jindal School of international Affairs at O.P. Jindal University. “But this time the Malabar exercises won’t wind down because the coming decade is going to be very different — the threat perception of Chinese power is much higher now in all these four countries, so it has a lasting future.”

The first phase of the exercises, which includes simulated war games and combat maneuvers, is being held in the Bay of Bengal and will continue until Friday. The second phase will be held in mid-November in the Arabian Sea.

“The exercise, being conducted as a 'non-contact, at sea only' exercise in view of COVID-19 pandemic, will showcase the high-levels of synergy and coordination between the friendly navies, which is based on their shared values and commitment to an open, inclusive Indo-Pacific and a rules-based international order," the Indian Navy said in a statement on Monday.

Why Would Israeli Journalists Fight Over Hunter Biden?

This election will affect Israel so profoundly that it is perceived as linked to the Jewish state’s future

NOVEMBER 3, 2020 TOPICS: TRUMP, MEDIA BIAS, BIDEN

By Tsvi Sadan

Gadi Taub continues to provoke mud-sliding on Twitter, Israel’s preferred social media swamp. As a former leftist, the antagonism he creates among his one-time peers goes far beyond the usual petty skirmishes between journalists on the Left and Right.

Taub is a voice to be reckoned with since he continues to publish his columns in the left-wing daily Haaretz, and he has his own private internet TV program called “The Gate Keeper,” where he deals with issues that the Israeli mainstream media prefers to ignore, or misrepresent. One such issue is the US presidential election in general, and the Hunter Biden scandal in particular.

But before getting into it, consider first Taub’s explanation, provided in a recent interview with Arutz 7, as to why he no longer fears his former friends and colleagues:

“Today, the Left is at an intellectual disadvantage. The opinions of the Left are recycled; heated up in the microwave. The postmodern grinder, into which the same ideas are fed from the one end and are coming out from the other end,…

Who is Hunter Biden? What are the allegations against him, what was on his alleged laptop and what are his links to Ukraine and China?

By Luke O'Reilly

Joe Biden's son Hunter, and his business dealings in Ukraine, have been the subject of fierce debate in the build up to the November 2020 presidential race.

Donald Trump and his allies have accused the former vice president of improperly intervening in Ukraine’s affairs to protect his son Hunter from criminal investigation.

Previously, the democrats attempted to impeach Mr Trump over an alleged attempt to coerce Ukraine's president to dig up dirt on the Biden family.

But who is Hunter Biden, what are his connections to Ukraine and why does he matter in the 2020 US election?

Here's everything you need to know:

Who is Hunter Biden?

Hunter, 49, is an American lawyer and businessman and Mr Biden’s second son.

His brother Beau, Mr Biden’s eldest son, died of a brain tumour in 2015 aged 56.

He is a founding partner of investment and advisory firm Rosemont Seneca Partners.

What are his connections to Ukraine and China?

Hunter Biden served on the board of Ukraine's largest private gas company, Burisma, between 2014 and 2019.

He was reportedly paid up to $50,000 a month by the energy company.

In February 2014, the country was rocked by the Maidan revolution, which saw pro-Western politician Petro Poroshenko take over the presidency - with the backing of the US Government.

As a result, between 2014 and 2016, Hunter's father visited Ukraine a dozen times on official duty.

The question of a possible conflict of interest - with Hunter reaping vast sums of money in a country where his father was actively working with the government - was raised publicly at the time.

Mr Biden reportedly told his son: “I hope you know what you are doing.”

“I do,” Hunter replied.

Hunter was also a board member of a Chinese private equity fund, BHR. He took up the role in 2013 while his father was vice president of the US.

BHR is backed by some of China's largest state banks.

However, he resigned from the board in April 2020 - while retianing a 10 per cent stake in its shares.

Vietnamese People Rooting For Donald Trump’s Victory Over Rival Joe Biden

Published 5 hours ago on November 3, 2020

By Smriti Chaudhary

All eyes are on America, which is in the final lap of its Presidential election. The new President will define US foreign policy for the next five years and has left people around the world divided on the issue.

Vietnam is one such country, where both the US and China have fought a war that ended less than 50 years ago. While Vietnam has somewhat forgiven the US, it still struggles with the ‘China threat’.

According to VnExpress, a news website poll posted on Sept. 18: “In your opinion, who will be elected US president?”, Vietnamese people overwhelmingly supported the incumbent President Donald Trump, who scored 79 percent of the total votes.

According to a Nikkei Asia report, other surveys conducted including Tuoi Tre, the online edition of a newspaper operated by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union showed 78 percent of people favoring Trump along with Thanh Nien, another Ho Chi Minh-based media outlet showing support of more than 80 percent.

Analysts believe the reason behind Trump’s popularity in Vietnam is his hard-line approach to China. Vietnam has territorial disputes with Beijing in the South China Sea, where Trump has deployed American warships threatening China for its expansionist tactics.

“If Trump wins,” Nguyen Ngoc Vinh, a retired former editor at Tuoi Tre, a leading Vietnamese newspaper told Nikkei Asia, “his policies in the next four years will benefit Vietnam in the context of the South China Sea.”

“If Biden wins,” Vinh added, “it would be a disaster for us because the tradition of democratic presidents since the Vietnam War always showed an indulgence to China, especially under the Clinton and Obama administrations.”

According to a national survey, conducted from July 15 to September 10, 48 percent of Vietnamese Americans favored the Republican candidate and only 36 percent favored the Democratic candidate.

“Many Vietnamese think the United States is important for Vietnam, rightly or wrongly, because it provides a counterweight to China in economic, military and geopolitical terms,” said Ngo Vinh Long, professor of Asian History at the University of Maine told Nikkei Asia. “But China is next door to Vietnam and hence outweighs the United States in many ways.”

Stock market predicts Trump will defeat Biden

The S&P 500 gained 1.2% in three months leading up to Election Day

By Jonathan Garber FOXBusiness

The benchmark S&P 500, which has predicted the winner of 87% of all presidential elections and every one since 1984, added 1.2% from July 31 through Monday.

Typically, a gain in the three months leading up to the election has signaled a victory for the incumbent party while a loss signaled a transfer of power.

Ticker Security Last Change Change %

SP500 S&P 500 3375.64 +65.40 +1.98%

“With the market staying up here and rallying, it's telling me that [Trump] is going to occupy 1600 again for another four years,” said Anthony Saliba, CEO of the Chicago-based Matrix Execution Group, an executing broker-dealer that specializes in options and equities. The White House’s address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

While the S&P 500 is pointing to a Trump win, other indicators based on markets and the economy suggest former Vice President Joe Biden will be the candidate who takes the oath of office on Inauguration Day.

The U.S. dollar, which has correctly picked seven of the last eight election winners and every one since 2000, gained 0.6% in the three months through Monday. On Election Day, the index was trading as little as 2 cents above its July 31 close.
