Thoughts on the election

My understanding is that some states stopped counting votes when it became apparent that Pres. Trump would win in their states. Citizens should sue for ALL eligible votes to be counted in these states. Stopping of counting of votes could affect the popular vote. Democrats will have no right to bitch about the popular vote if they stopped the counting before the vote count was complete.

CA, OR, and WA called their elections WAY too early. They declared their winners within moments of the polls closing. HI may not even have been closed when they called their election. This may be partly due to the impatience of the citizens. In the comments on the livestream I was watching, people kept asking about the western states including AK and HI before their polls had even closed. People need to understand that these things take time.

Winners were called for a few states while the other party was in the lead (VA, RI, MD). This worried a lot of people.

I am glad that Pres. Trump is seeking an injunction to stop the counting of ballots that arrive late. These late-arriving ballots are far more likely to be frauds.

The mail-in voting has been a concern since 2016 when I saw how many people had to be processed provisionally when voters in the roster as having been sent a mail-in ballot did not bring their mail-in ballots with them when they decided to vote at the polls. In the precincts where I worked, 18% of voters had to vote provisionally for that reason. Half of those claimed that they had not received the ballot. 9% is enough to turn an election.

In this election, CA voters (in L.A. County at least) were not asked to surrender the mail-in ballots. I was told that the ballot had been cancelled as part of the process of checking in. That creates another issue. Ballots are no longer anonymous. It could well be possible to identify and potentially hunt down people who voted a certain way.

USPS is seriously corrupt right now. Carriers at my local post office habitually mark items as delivered before they even leave the post office. This is costing us money. How can an agency with habits such as this be trusted with our votes? I voted in person. There are fewer filters and fewer opportunities to "misplace" a ballot.

Oh, don't even get me started! I had to reorder something because it got crushed. The reordered item got crushed, too. Had the next replacement delivered to a different address served by a different post office and finally got the item intact.

>Legalize drugs by the way. Kills the black market.

Well, maybe. But the smell of marijuana smoke drifting in CA has gotten rather disgusting. Definitely a downside.

I see this as a good sign. Blocking a railroad track would definitely qualify as unlawful assembly in any circumstance.
