Yup. FOID Cards are about as comprehensive background as possible. Background on every FOID holder is run once a day, 360 times a year total (according to State Police). Names run through state databases for voluntary and involuntary mental health admissions, drug rehab admissions, arrests for misdemeanors and felonies, etc. If anything pops, FOID gets suspended or revoked.
