Lashana Lynch Confirmed As First Female 007 In Daniel Craig’s ‘No Time To Die’
No Time to Die star Lashana Lynch has been confirmed to play the first female agent 007 in Daniel Craig’s long-awaited final film as James Bond.
The final outing for Daniel Craig’s James Bond has been a long time coming because the film has been delayed multiple times in the last few years. No Time to Die is now set for April 2021 release with the film introducing various new characters to the iconic 007 franchise. One of the new additions in the film shrouded in secrecy has to do with who Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch is playing.
There’s been discussion over the last few years on whether we will ever see a female James Bond in the future and it seems like we are getting something close to it soon. In a recent piece from Harper’s Bazaar, it was confirmed that Lashana Lynch will in fact be taking over the 007 title from Daniel Craig’s James Bond in No Time to Die. The article goes onto say that Lynch will be the new 007 because Craig’s Bond is in exile. When the news originally leaked online, Lynch has this to say about the reaction to her becoming the first female 007:
“I am one Black woman – if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse. I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary.”
I have watched my LAST James Bond movie.
