When I voted in Wilmington DE on Tuesday, I was a rare white person in the line.

As I stepped up to the computerized voting booth, the poll worker asked for my ID again, having shown just moments ago at the desk, she screamed out my full name and said "is entering the voting booth now!"

They did none of this for any of the black people ahead of me or behind me in line. No joke, screamed out my full name from my drivers license, after having already proven my ID at the desk moments earlier.

It's hard to imagine there was any purpose for this other than to alert someone within earshot to tag the machine in use for the next vote.

Was strange.
