NC citizen and native here. I personally believe it’s because of our Governor’s race. Roy Cooper has been a very unpopular governor and there was so much support and enthusiasm for Dan Forest. Many think Dan actually won and Roy is holding up the vote because he knows he lost. Hurting POTUS is just a bonus.
