Put Simply…The Swamp Is Just Too Big To Be Drained

I haven’t been able to write for awhile, but I’m thankful to have Jon Hall picking up the slack around here. Coronavirus life has kept me busy (in a good way, I’m blessed and fortunate to say). With the election coming up, I wanted to get some thoughts into an article that I’m sure very few will read in its entirety, but I believe will be informative, helpful and possibly entertaining for the few that do. Given that the country has been prepping for election unrest to a significant extent, the contrarian in me expects many to be underwhelmed by the result of election season. Any actual unrest will be handled quite well by those who have prepared to any extent, and handled quite poorly by those who have not. No matter what happens, I wish you all the best of luck, and god speed.

While President Trump has changed federal-level politics in this country forever, the globalist cabal has proven that they’ve been able to carry on without a hiccup no matter who sits in the Oval Office. The entrenched government bureaucrats – including those in the judiciary and law enforcement – have been enabled and abetted by billionaire elites and their media mouthpieces without fail over Trump’s entire first term. Even if we are to believe that Epstein didn’t really kill himself, nearly everyone in America thinks he escaped justice. In spite of the fact that every one of the above pictured people plotted and schemed to undermine Trump both during and before his presidency, not one of them has faced any criminal charges as a result of their conduct.

It is folly to expect this to change, no matter who wins the 2020 election.

Even though no government officials have been held to account for their misconduct, Trump has changed politics in the US forever. The rise of internet-based alternative media and Trump’s magnification of these tools has led an ever-growing percentage of the population to become fed up with a complete lack of justice in America. The term “deep state” – once seen as taboo – is now so commonplace, Trump himself routinely uses it, and the mainstream media outlets that are the deep state’s mouthpiece will even come to its defense. This is ironic, considering that mainstream media itself is living on borrowed time, and Trump’s ability to give them a boogeyman as narrative is perhaps the only lifeline they still have left.

In spite of all-time record highs in the equities markets, the US economy remains in a precarious state. Trump has successfully kicked the debt can for nearly four years, and he was able to do so while raising the fed funds rate from the near-zero level it had hovered at for close to a decade. A flu strain that was biologically engineered in 2007 broke contain (I believe, accidentally) in late 2019, and spread quickly throughout the planet. Like nearly all politicians (with some exceptions, such as Senators Tom Cotton and Josh Hawley), Trump was dead wrong on the coronavirus early on, insisting it was “just the flu”.

However, Trump did reverse course long before the others, enacting a too-late travel ban from China while the likes of Schumer and Pelosi took it as an opportunity to score anti-Trump political points in Chinatown. Blue state governors bungled the handling of the virus early on, leading to the vast majority of coronavirus deaths on a per-capita basis, primarily in elderly populations. While the global economy economy was paralyzed, the deep state brought rates crashing back to zero and asset prices have made all-time highs, in spite of crippling unemployment and draconian lockdowns.

Republican John James Is Not Conceding Senate Race in Michigan

On Tuesday night Republican Senate Candidate John James was winning big in Michigan US Senate race.

But Democrats came back with a miraculous surge of votes on Wednesday and were able to take the lead from John James.

Today John James released a statement.

He is not conceding the race.

Facebook Censors Massive Pro-Trump Group Protesting "Widespread Ballot Fraud"

Facebook has confirmed it is actively censoring pro-Trump groups that are concerned over potential vote count irregularities in various states when it issued a bombshell announcement saying it has removed a large protest group from its platform.

"In line with the exceptional measures that we are taking during this period of heightened tension, we have removed the Group 'Stop the Steal,' which was creating real-world events," a Facebook spokesman said.

The mention of "real-world events" appears simply an expressed desire to hold demonstrations, which is basic protected free speech and right of assembly.

"The group was organized around the delegitimization of the election process, and we saw worrying calls for violence from some members of the group," Facebook claimed Thursday without providing evidence.

The censorship comes after a number of Trump's own tweets alleging "fraudulent" activity and that the election is being "stolen" from him have been slapped with labels by Twitter.

The massive group — which grew to 361,000 members within 24 hours — was devoted to protesting the administration of the election, which the organizers allege has been marred by "widespread ballot fraud."

"Stop the Steal" was among the largest pages organizing protests against the election impasse. Even the WSJ is acknowledging Thursday afternoon that this is among—

"the social-media giant’s most aggressive moves yet to police online activity over the election results."

The WSJ further notes that "In the minutes before the group was removed, it was adding new members at a rate of more than 25,000 people an hour." Thus it appears the rapid popularity also brought it to the attention of Facebook's election content censors.

DOJ seizes over $1B worth of bitcoin associated with the underground online marketplace Silk Road

SAN FRANCISCO – The United States filed a civil complaint today to forfeit thousands of Bitcoins, valued at over $1 billion dollars, seized by law enforcement on November 3, 2020, announced United States Attorney David L. Anderson of the Northern District of California and Special Agent in Charge of the Washington DC Field Office, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) Kelly R. Jackson. The seizure represents the largest seizure of cryptocurrency in the history of the Department of Justice.

“Silk Road was the most notorious online criminal marketplace of its day,” said U.S. Attorney Anderson. “The successful prosecution of Silk Road’s founder in 2015 left open a billion-dollar question. Where did the money go? Today’s forfeiture complaint answers this open question at least in part. $1 billion of these criminal proceeds are now in the United States’ possession.”

“Criminal proceeds should not remain in the hands of the thieves. Through CI’s expertise in following the money, we were able to track down the illicit funds,” said IRS-CI Special Agent in Charge Kelly R. Jackson. “The Washington DC Cyber Crimes Unit is uniquely specialized in tracing virtual currency transactions and we will continue to hone our skills to combat illegal activity.”

According to the allegations of the civil forfeiture complaint, from 2011 until October 2013 when it was seized by law enforcement, Silk Road was the most sophisticated and extensive criminal marketplace on the Internet. It served a sprawling black market bazaar where unlawful goods and services were bought and sold regularly by the site’s users. The complaint alleges that while in operation, Silk Road was used by thousands of drug dealers and other unlawful vendors to distribute hundreds of kilograms of illegal drugs as well as other unlawful goods and services to well over 100,000 buyers, and to launder hundreds of millions of dollars derived from these unlawful transactions. At the time it was taken down in 2013, Silk Road had nearly 13,000 listings for controlled substances and many more listings offering illegal services, such as computer hacking and murder for hire, which generated sales revenue totaling over 9.5 million Bitcoins and commissions from these sales totaling over 600,000 Bitcoins. The complaint further alleges that Silk Road used a so-called “tumbler” to process Bitcoin transactions in a manner designed to frustrate the tracking of individual transactions through the cryptocurrency Blockchain.

The Silk Road creator Ross Ulbricht, following his arrest in San Francisco, was convicted in 2015 by a New York federal jury of seven criminal counts, including conspiracy to distribute narcotics and money laundering.

The complaint further alleges that in 2020 agents of the IRS CI used a third party bitcoin attribution company to analyze bitcoin transactions executed by Silk Road and were able to identify 54 previously undetected bitcoin transactions executed by Silk Road, all of which appear to represent bitcoin, which was the proceeds of unlawful activity, that was stolen from Silk Road in or about 2012 and 2013.

Border Patrol Agents Arrest Criminal Alien from China in Bangor, Maine

BANGOR, Maine – On Monday, November 2, United States Border Patrol Agents arrested a Chinese National with multiple criminal convictions and a prior order of removal.

While performing law enforcement duties in Bangor, agents from the Houlton Station observed a suspicious vehicle with Massachusetts plates. A records check on the vehicle revealed the registered owner as a previously deported Chinese National with an extensive criminal history. The subject, who was considered possibly armed and dangerous, also had a criminal history including convictions for larceny, robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

After processing, Border Patrol Agents turned over custody of the Chinese National to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement Removal Operations (ICE/ERO) for removal.

Wrong turn leads to postal carrier's arrest; mail found in car included absentees

The postal carrier who had 800 pieces of undelivered mail in the trunk of his car got caught, in part, thanks to a wrong turn, according to federal authorities.

Brandon Wilson, 27, was arrested Tuesday night at the Peace Bridge after border agents found a bin containing mail destined for several ZIP codes and included three absentee ballots sent out by the Erie County Board of Elections, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court.

Wilson, of Buffalo, who was stopped at the bridge shortly after 7:30 p.m., allegedly told Customs and Border Protection agents the mail belonged to him and his mother, but could not explain the mail addressed to other people, according to the complaint filed by a special agent for the Postal Service's Office of Inspector General.

Wilson ended up at the bridge by accident. He had been traveling on the I-190 and got in the wrong lane, which brought him to the border crossing with Canada, federal authorities confirmed.

In addition to the absentee ballots, which had been sent to two addresses in Buffalo, the mail found in Wilson's car consisted of 106 political mailings, 220 first-class mailings and 484 standard mailings.

The majority of the first-class mail was addressed to locations in the 14215 ZIP code, but other destination ZIP codes were 14227, 14211 and 14214.

Cancellation dates of the first-class mail showed seven dates between Sept. 16 and Oct. 26, according to the complaint.

In addition to the pieces of mail, Wilson also had several pieces of his carrier uniform and his identification badge.

During an interview with agents from the Postal Service Office of Inspector General, Wilson allegedly admitted placing mail from his delivery routes into the trunk of his car, according to the court documents.

Canada Reports First Case of Rare Swine Flu Virus in Alberta Patient

Health officials in Canada on Wednesday reported the country’s first case of a human becoming infected with the H1N2 virus, a rare strain of swine flu.

According to health authorities, the case was detected in the western province of Alberta in mid-October and appears to be isolated.

In a Wednesday statement obtained by CBC News, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw and Chief Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Keith Lehman revealed that the case is the 27th such infection globally since 2005.

"A confirmed case of variant Influenza A (H1N2)v has been detected in central Alberta," Hinshaw and Lehman said in the statement.

"This currently appears to be one isolated case and there is no increased risk to Albertans at this time. This is the only influenza case reported in Alberta so far this flu season,” they added.

The health professionals also noted that despite the fact that there is only one case of the virus, it still needs to be taken seriously. "We are taking this seriously, as any human infection with a non-seasonal influenza virus needs to be followed up under our international obligations," Hinshaw said.

The chief medical officer also explained that the virus caused flu-like symptoms in the patient.

"In this particular case there was nothing about the presentation or the history that indicated any different concern than anyone else presenting with an upper respiratory tract type infection - influenza-like illness symptoms," she explained.

"As part of our typical lab process, whenever we get an influenza positive, especially early in the season, part of the process is to move through into a typing, to understand what type it is, and as a part of that process it was identified that it was a non-seasonal strain,” she added.

The patient was advised to stay at home for 10 days and followed that recommendation.

Health officials are currently collaborating with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, Alberta Health Services and the Public Health Agency of Canada to determine the source of the virus.

According to News Medical Life Science, H1N2 is a subtype of the influenza A virus and is a highly contagious respiratory infection that can spread among both human and pig populations. Some of the symptoms associated with the disease include a sore throat, a cough, general malaise, fever and muscle aches.

Dem Strategists Scrub Internet of South Carolina Failure

Super PAC funneled more than $750,000 to consultants' firms

A Democratic super PAC that funneled more than $750,000 to its consultants' firms scrubbed its website as it failed to unseat Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.).

Lindsey Must Go PAC raised nearly $3.8 million in its bid to replace Graham "with a leader who will stand for something more than partisanship." Graham, however, went on to secure reelection by double digits, and the super PAC's website no longer lists its staff. The group's "About Us" page boasted a roster of "veteran" strategists with years of "high-profile political campaign experience" in the days leading up to the election. The page has since been removed.

Former staffers of Hillary Clinton, Mike Bloomberg, and Beto O'Rourke's failed presidential campaigns—Stephen Groves, Brice Barnes, and Tyler Jones—launched Lindsey Must Go PAC in May. Other PAC strategists include former MSNBC contributor Jimmy Williams and C-Street Strategies founder Alex Hoffman. The group promised to "defeat Lindsey Graham in November," so long as it received "every last retweet and dollar you can step up with."

The super PAC spent nearly $3 million as of October 14, with more than $750,000 going to consulting firms tied to its own staffers. Roughly $718,000 was funneled to PDG Strategies—where Groves, the PAC’s chair, works as a senior adviser—for "fundraising consulting" and other expenses. More than $35,000, meanwhile, was sent to SPEAK Strategic, a consulting firm founded by Jones, the PAC’s spokesman.

Lindsey Must Go PAC did not return a request for comment. Much of its activity was bankrolled by billionaire John Pritzker, who sent the group $1.5 million in September.

The group spearheaded a last-minute push to boost Constitution Party nominee Bill Bledsoe, spending more than $133,000 on mailers calling him "the only true conservative on the ballot" in an attempt to siphon votes from Graham. The strategy fell flat—Graham quickly launched his own ad campaign touting Bledsoe's endorsement, and the third-party candidate received just 1.3 percent of the vote.

Lindsey Must Go PAC was far from the only outside group that raised millions in a futile bid to win a longshot Senate seat. Ditch Mitch Fund and Fire Mitch Save America combined to raise at least $25 million in Kentucky, where Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R.) won reelection by 21 points. In Texas, Future Forward USA spent more than $11.2 million to unseat Sen. John Cornyn (R.), who won his race by 10 points.

In total, more than a quarter of a billion dollars was spent in the three historically red states.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci resigns to face war crimes charges at The Hague

Kosovo’s president, Hashim Thaci, has resigned and is set to face the International Criminal Court in The Hague,after an indictment charging him with crimes against humanity and war crimeswas confirmed in court.

“As I promised I will not go before the court as President of Kosovo,” Thaci said during a Thursday press conference in Kosovo’s capital, Pristina. The leader explained his pre-trial resignation, saying he wishes to avoid harming “the integrity of the Kosovo presidency, the state of Kosovo and the people of Kosovo.”

The indictment was filed in June by the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office. It included not only the president, but several other former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) members turned-politicians, including Kadri Veseli, leader of the Democratic Party.

KLA was an ethnically Albanian guerrilla group, which fought Serbian control and sought to separate Kosovo from Yugoslavia and Serbia in the 1990s. It was active through the 90s and the 2000s, until Kosovo declared independence in 2008.

At that time, Thaci’s nom de guerre was ‘the Snake’, for his ability to evade authorities. While a KLA commander, the future president was allegedly involved in assassinating Kosovar politicians and military officers, for which Pristina’s District court sentenced him in absentia to 10 years in prison in 1997.

Prosecutors accuse Thaci of being responsible for almost 100 murders. The head of Kosovo’s parliament will take over as acting president until a new leader can be elected.

Pakistan Signs Illegal Migrants Repatriation Deal with Bosnia

Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s officials on Wednesday signed in Islamabad an agreement that allows the Balkan country to send back home thousands of illegal Pakistani migrants that got stuck there on their way to western Europe.

The bilateral agreement on the repatriation of their citizens was signed between Pakistani Interior Minister Ijaz Shah and Bosnia’s Security Minister Selmo Cikotić. Among the 10,000 illegal migrants stuck in Bosnia on their way to the EU, nearly 3,000 are Pakistanis, according to Cikotić’s predecessor, Fahrudin Radončić.

Just like other illegal migrants, most of them arrived in Europe with human traffickers who charge the migrants thousands of U.S. dollars to smuggle them along routes passing through various countries, including Iran, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia.

The migrants risk their lives and expose themselves to organized crime groups while seeking a better life in western and northern Europe. They get stuck in Bosnia at the border to EU member Croatia because Croatian authorities are vigorously guarding their border and forcing them back to Bosnia.

Once they are in Bosnia again, the migrants wait for a while and try to cross into Croatia over and over again in a cat-and-mouse game with the Croatian border police.

The presence of so many Pakistanis in Bosnia recently prompted a diplomatic crisis when Bosnia’s ex-security minister Radončić requested from Bosnia’s Presidency to declare the Pakistani ambassador persona non grata, accusing him of refusing to cooperate in the repatriation of his citizens. His request was rejected.

Meanwhile, Bosnian border police in April asserted that some Pakistanis have been falsely issued visas by the Bosnian embassy in Islamabad, which allowed them to cut short the large stretch from Pakistan to Europe and land at the Sarajevo airport.

Minister Shah said that Pakistan was aware of the illegal migrants problem which is caused by people’s desire to search for better economic opportunities.

“This agreement may not dissuade young Pakistani men, who are facing rising unemployment in an ailing economy, from putting their lives, liberty and meager savings on the line while trying to get to the EU via Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Pakistani legal expert Osama Malik told OCCRP Thursday.

“Nonetheless, as the deportation of these three thousand illegal economic immigrants back to Pakistan begins, it may improve the ties between Pakistan and Bosnia, which had been adversely affected by the arrival of these illegal migrants,” he said.
