264 – 241 B.C. First Punic War

The First Punic War was an aggressive attempt by Rome to expand it’s power. Rome attacks Carthage. “The Punic Wars… mark the beginning of a transition of Rome the Republic into the Roman Empire.” War ends 241 B.C.

1896 – 1919 Spanish American War / WW1

McKinley wins election in 1896 and immediately began an aggressive expansion of US power. US attacks Spain. The Spanish-American War was only one front in a much greater battle the United States was waging against Europe in general, but particularly Germany…in its struggle to achieve global economic control. Encyclopedia Britannica lists almost these exact same years—1896 to 1920—as part of the subheading “United States: Imperialism, the Progressive Era, and the Rise to World Power.” WW1 ends 1919.

221 B.C. Hannibal False Flag

Historian Chuck M. Sphar concludes Hannibal kills his brother-in-law in 221 B.C. in his novel “Against Rome.” Hannibal becomes commander in chief of the Carthaginian army opposing Rome short after.

1939 Hitler False Flag

The most powerful attack under Operation Himmler was the Gleiwitz incident, when Hitler attacked his own top radio station and broadcast anti-German messages that appeared to originate from Poland, his main enemy.

1960 US plans to attack Cuba, Cold War begins

On May 1, 1960, The United States provocatively flew a U-2 spy plane over Russian airspace. The Soviets shot it down and the Cold War immediately started.

197 B.C. Battle of Cynoscephalae ends / 1963 Cold War Ends

The last U.S. missiles were removed from Turkey on April 24, 1963, ending the conflict on both sides. In Rome, the Battle of Cynoscephalae was the decisive turning point that led to Macedonia losing the war.

187 B.C. Scipio Scandal / 1973 Watergate

A scandal began brewing around the Roman consul Scipio Africanus. It started when his brother Lucius was prosecuted for hiding a payment of 500 talents he accepted from Rome’s mortal enemy, Antiochus III. Within two years, Scipio himself stood trial on charges that he had accepted this payment from Antiochus III as a bribe to end the war.

“2,160 years [after Scipio’s scandal began,] in 1973, it was the Watergate scandal that forced Nixon, who had honorably terminated the Vietnam War, to resign and retire to his estate.”

184 B.C. Cato elected / 1976 Carter elected

Rome: After serving as Roman consul, Cato was elected to become the new “censor” of Rome in 184 B.C. This was considered an important position, as one key role of the “censor” was to guard the morality of Rome. US: The public was hungry for a squeaky-clean, snow-white character who was the antithesis of Richard Nixon in every way.

181 B.C. First Celtiberian War begins / 1979 Soviet–Afghan US Proxy War begins

President Carter signed a directive on July 3, 1979, that secretly provided aid to the people in Afghanistan who were fighting against their pro-Soviet government.
