Robert E. “Bob” Weisenbach Sr. Devoted Family Man Robert E. “Bob” Weisenbach Sr., age 67, of West Cherry Hill Road, Albion, died Friday September 11, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Erie on July 30, 1942, the son of the late Elmer J. and Zora M. Schwartz Weisenbach. Bob graduated from McDowell High School in 1960. He served in the United States Army as a photographer in Korea. He worked as a clerk for the Post Office for 35 years and retired in 1997. He was also part owner and founder of American Eagle Windmills. He was a member of St. Julia Church and also a 27 year member of the American Legion, Post 773, in Millcreek. Bob loved his family very much. He was a very kind and outgoing man who would make friends with everyone he would meet. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, and riding motorcycles. He loved his dog Woody. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sue Hassler Weisenbach; two sons; Robert E. Weisenbach and his wife Lisa and Bradley S. Weisenbach and his wife Lisa all of Erie; seven grandchildren; Nicole, Hunter and Nolan Weisenbach, and Whitney, David, Harris, Cameron, and Parker Orzechowski and one brother John J. Weisenbach of Erie. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Julia Church 638 Roslyn Ave Erie, PA 16505 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery with full Military Honors.
