Trumps optics might look better if he remains looking "neutral" yet "slowly realizing the scheme just like everyone else. There may be resistance to whatever truth is shown publicly if it looks like Trump has been actively holding on to info and letting time allow the dems to trap themselves. Sometimes the Covert Sting can come across, or spun by MSM, as being worse than the crime committed.
