We — the crew & staff of “Bluenose II”, the active replica of her famous ancestor – brought Sterling Hayden aboard for a sail when Bluenose II, on her epic cruise in 1986, (Nova Scotia – Vancouver via Panama), visited San Francisco on the way. Such an occasion to have him with us; we know he enjoyed one last sail on an east-coast schooner – sadly, he passed away not many months afterwards.
