On Monday I was told by my old roommate, who is full blood Lakota and bought into the whole covid fear, etc… but he told me we were going into a full lockdown on Wednesday (Nov. 4). That was the first time in 8 years I've fought with him. I was just so pissed at the chairman and I kept telling my old roommate it has a 99.9% survival rate. He was convinced everyone was going to die. They were told that if Trump wins, he would open everything up and everyone was going to get infected and die. (That was the silver lining for me) but still.. I was focused on the fact we already have the highway illegally closed off with checkpoints, we had patrolled curfew from 10pm to 6am, where I was walking my dog one night and they told me I had to stay inside until 6 in the morning. We have to wear masks and gloves to go to the only store here..wtf was a full lockdown going to be about? I had noticed that the guards (2 at the door with their little police badge from being deputized just for covid security) didn't get to the store until 10am so I was going in at 9. I also noticed the patrol people would take a 2 hour break at midnight. On Nov.4 at 12 am I thought they went on their usual break and I walked my dog. I was up for NS, as usual, and at 3 I noticed there was no patrol..at 4 nothing..I thought maybe they overslept on their break. Last night I was so focused on whatever was going on here that I just thought maybe I kept looking out the window and just missing when they had driven by. This town is so small you can stand in the center and see all 4 corners, you can drive 25mph and get across it in 45 seconds. It takes no time at all to circle it and drive around.. Tonight it is 11:47 right now and I've had my eyes glued and there's no patrol. I was going to scout the store tomorrow to see wtf a full lockdown entailed because I got supplies and haven't left the house except to go out in the fields with my dog. Holy shit.. is it over? I keep thinking they're going to drive by any moment but nothing happens. AND I have ptsd..big pharma pills they had prescribed gave me 3 major seizures within a few hours apart and almost croaked my ass, so I smoke marijuana because it is the only thing that helps drastically and they just legalized medical and recreational weed here.
