Good story. We are basically China with a different name and some subtle differences in flavor to accommodate our western civ heritage. Candidates are pre-approved, only party members get in - a few outsiders for appearance and to support claim anybody can get in, massive surveillance of the public. Government agent snitches in numbers that boggle the mind. Government actors are big player in all types of organized criminal activity, plus the "cash back" and "family wins" schemes of government programs, foreign and domestic.
