Finally found the states article on DHS:

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/339249-are-democrats-trying-to-pin-the-blame-for-their-own

"The former head of President Obama's Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, made an excuse Wednesday for why his organization hadn't been forthcoming about "Russian hacking" during the 2016 election. They didn't want to appear partisan, he told the House Intelligence Committee.

Leaving aside for a minute that Russia "hacking" the 2016 election is a wildly inaccurate portrayal of Russia's digital meddling — which to date are only allegations, nothing proven — there's likely another reason Johnson wasn't quick to cry foul: some of the known, legitimate attempts to hack into state election databases were perpetrated by Johnson's own organization, the Obama-led DHS.

In an op-ed published in May, RNLA detailed what we called "the other, much worse hacking story." In that piece, we outlined how cybersecurity experts confirmed Obama's Department of Homeland Security had been caught trying to illegally access several voter registration systems in various states, including Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, and West Virginia."

Smartmatic, Soros, Dominion and Sequoia

(From 2017)

Smartmatic is not the issue here, per/se. It's the buying of a previous system- Sequoia- that is in many states.

http://dailycaller.com/2016/10/18/soros-connected-company-provides-voting-machines-in-16-states/

http://www.smartmatic.com/case-studies/article/united-states-elections/

The chairman of Smartmatic is Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, who sits in the British House of Lords and on the board of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. He was formerly the vice-chairman of Soros’s Investment Funds and even the deputy secretary-general of the United Nations when he worked as chief of staff to Kofi Annan.

You won't find any mainstream media stories on this. The question is, who owns Sequoia now, and what if any connections do they have to vested interests?

However, in November 2007, following a verdict by the CFIUS, Smartmatic was ordered to sell Sequoia, which it did to its Sequoia managers having U.S. citizenship.[11]

Does that apple ever fall that far from the tree?

And:

In June 2010, Dominion acquired Sequoia Voting Systems.

Clinton Foundation Link?

Did you know that because of prorietary claims, no one is allowed to audit the voting system programs themselves? It's a glorified accounting program, yet somehow this is "proprietary."

This is old but details the legacy of electronic systems:

Well, here's something that is not proprietary, owned by citizens not corporations:

Paper ballots hand counted at the precincts with a watchdog system to make sure totals aren't altered up the path to the state/national count.

An end to Voter News Service or whatever iteration it is now, owned by media companies.
