Maybe what's currently happeningisPlan Z, just an alternate, softer version. The plan was always military intervention, but they've been fortunate to have a 4 year period to reach and awaken as many people as possible so it won't come as big of a shock. Plan Z in 2020 is expected, Plan Z in 2016 would've looked like the end of the world.
