Trump could fire Wray, Haspel, Esper, Barr, etc right now with no repercussions, election is over.
Why hasn't he fired them? Or maybe it's better to ask it another way, why has he kept them?
there i no more need for good optics, they have to be white hats. Suicidal to keep them on during this fight when it would be critical to have supporting law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
I have thought so for quite some time, I have waivered from that theory a few times but I can not think of any logical reason to keep them on board if they were bad. Optics is bullshit, the law is what matters, the constitution is what matters, our republic is what matters.
