It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud

It was not suddenly bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,

That the Saxon began to hate.
An awakened Saxon is not to be trifled with is the point…we've done this before with great success…hold the line. Character matters. Merit matters. They always will.
