Hunter (Finally) Breaks Cover: Takes Center Stage to Applaud Joe

There was a dewy-eyed reunion Saturday night when Hunter Biden finally emerged from months of self-imposed isolation to join his father Joe on stage in Delaware as the former vice president claimed victory in the 2020 election, as accorded by mainstream media networks.

Hunter, 50, strode front and center after his father finished his address, carrying his seven-month-old son, reportedly named Beau, after his late brother.

Alongside was his South African-born wife Melissa, 34, who he married in May 2019 – six days after they met.

Hunter has been embroiled in controversy since a hard drive from a laptop that reportedly belonged to him was given to Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.

After a Campaign Comparing Trump to Nazis, Joe Biden Calls for Unity

21,044

Joe Biden, presumed the winner of the presidential election according to mainstream media networks, issued a call for “unity” Saturday evening after a bruising campaign in which he had compared President Donald Trump to Nazis, including Adolf Hitler.

Biden, who called his campaign a “battle for the soul of our nation,” launched his campaign in April 29 with the false claim that Trump had referred to neo-Nazis as “very fine people.” (Trump in fact said that they should be “condemned totally.”)

When confronted with that fact, Biden continued to insist on his version of events, despite evidence to the contrary.

Another Cliffhanger

A Little Civics Lesson

On Saturday, when rallies were scheduled to take place in key battleground areas to demand only legal votes were counted, the major networks announced Biden-Harris were the winners. Apparently, they are under the impression that they decide election results. They don’t. On December 14, electors chosen by state legislators cast their votes. No one else but the state legislators have that right. (Article II, Sec. 1,§2 of the Constitution). Certainly not the press, nor state boards of elections, secretaries of state, governors, or courts.

If they have reason to believe the elections in their states were unlawfully conducted and the results fraudulent, they can act to override them. (You can see a detailed history of this section of the Constitution in this fine article by Daniel Horowitz.) The Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania legislatures are majority Republican. At first glance these states particularly the precincts in Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia are the most suspect.

Is there ample evidence of fraud sufficient to have altered the will of the legal voters in these states? It sure looks that way.

Trump does not plan to concede any time soon, aides and allies indicate

5 MIN READ

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - After the declaration on Saturday that Democrat Joe Biden had won the race for the White House, Republican President Donald Trump and his allies made one thing clear: he does not plan to concede anytime soon.

The president, who has spent months trying to undermine the election results with unproven allegations of fraud, pledged on Saturday to go forward with a legal strategy that he hopes will overturn state results that gave Biden the win in Tuesday’s vote. Trump aides and Republican allies, while somewhat conflicted on how to proceed, largely supported his strategy or remained silent.

“The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor,” Trump said in a statement released by his campaign around midday.

Armed Federal Agents Can Be Sent To Examine Ballot-Counting Locations, Justice Department Tells Prosecutors

The Department of Justice sent a memo to prosecutors Wednesday saying it could send armed agents to ballot-counting locations to investigate potential voter fraud, The New York Times reported.

While federal law prohibits armed troops or law enforcement from stationing at any place an election is held unless force is determined “necessary,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) believes the law allows agents to station at places that are counting votes following the election, three unnamed officials familiar told The New York Times.

“[The statute] does not prevent armed federal law enforcement persons from responding to, investigate, or prevent federal crimes at closed polling places or at other locations where votes are being counted,” senior DOJ official Richard P. Donoghue told prosecutors in an email Wednesday, according to The Times. (RELATED: Pennsylvania Judge Hands Trump A Win In Election Lawsuit, Which Is Then Overruled By State’s Supreme Court)

Thousands of military absentee ballots in battlegrounds still to be counted

November 06, 2020 11:58 AM

Absentee ballots from service members are still arriving in crucial battleground states, leaving open a race that days from now could still hang in the balance.

While President Trump has insisted that mail-in ballots should not be counted after Election Day, they may provide his last hope in a vote count that is rapidly moving in his opponent's favor.

His campaign has launched a slew of legal challenges in key states, is waging a fight against "clubhouse governors," and is crowdsourcing citizen complaints of fraud or abuse that it believes could tilt the election in the president's favor.

Friday is the final day by which Georgia may process absentee and mail-in ballots, but other key states with close races will have through 5 p.m. on Nov. 12, at the latest.

Georgia had 8,307 service members and family members stationed overseas and registered to vote in 2018, voters who in 2016 cast 5,203 votes, according to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.

In Fulton County, Georgia, which contains Atlanta, an official said Thursday that all absentee mail ballots had been counted, with only provisional ballots and an "undetermined" number of military ballots remaining, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

"If the race comes down to the wire, those ballots could make a difference," said Jack Noland, research manager at Count Every Hero, a group calling for all military ballots to be counted.
