The real winner of 9/11 was Raytheon. Bill Clinton shot off so many cruise missiles in his Wag the Dog diversions – but did not replenish inventory – that the USA was down to about 400 CM's at 9/11. That is why we went after Afghanistan first, then Iraq. We could not hit Iraq's air defense and comm network with just 400 CM's. Raytheon went from a 9/80 two week cycle to a four shift/24 hour cycle just to restart the CM line.

 

Big bucks.
