Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani teases up to 10 new election lawsuits

Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York and personal attorney to President Trump, said Sunday that the incumbent should not concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden as he teased a new barrage of as many as 10 last-ditch lawsuits alleging election fraud.

“At this point, it would be wrong for him to concede,” said Giuliani during an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” hosted by Maria Bartiromo.

“There is strong evidence that this was an election that in at least three or four states, and possible 10, it was stolen,” Giuliani claimed. “In other words, it was based on false votes. Now, you can’t let an election go into history without challenging that.”

Giuliani, Trump and others within the president’s orbit have repeatedly made allegations of widespread and organized fraud since Election Day, but have not provided hard evidence to back up the claim.

Giuliani said that would change this week with a flurry of lawsuits seeking to change the course of the election.

“Right now we have one [lawsuit],” he said. “We have two that are being drafted, and the potential is 10. We haven’t investigated all the rest of those states. … You want an estimate? By the end of the week we’ll have four or five.”

Among the states Giuliani mentioned by name are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan — all of them 2016 Trump wins flipped this year by Biden.

In Pennsylvania — which proved to be the final state to flip, clinching the presidency for Biden — Giuliani said that he was prepared to point to dozens of witnesses who would attest under oath that they observed instances of election malfeasance.

“There are upwards of 50 witnesses, and this will be the subject of a lawsuit that we file tomorrow [Monday] for violating civil rights, for conducting an unfair election, for violating the law of the state, for treating Pittsburgh and Philadelphia different than the rest of the state,” Giuliani said. “This is something that just has to be addressed.”

Asked by Bartiromo if he had enough evidence to alter the course of the already-called election, Giuliani was at least bullish on the Keystone State.

“Well, I think we have enough to change Pennsylvania,” he said, calling the election in that state a “disaster.”

Trump held a strong lead in that state on Election Day, only to gradually watch it wither away as mail-in ballots — overwhelmingly for Biden — rolled in, leading to his eventual defeat.

The president has repeatedly derided those ballots as “illegal.”

REPORT: Wisconsin Election Clerks Tampered with Thousands of Ballots

Eye-witness reports of numerous acts of ballot tampering and vote fraud pour in from the battle ground states including Wisconsin where poll workers altered absentee ballots

Poll workers handling absentee ballots in Wisconsin received direction from election authorities to illegally alter ballots with missing information. The missing information – by law – made those absentee ballots invalid and ineligible to be included in tabulation.

But a report coming out of Wisconsin reveals that poll workers and ballot counters were given instruction by the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) to write in missing absentee ballot witness information on ballots that were missing that information.

Wisconsin law mandates that an absentee ballot requires a signature from a witness who also lists his or her address. This is to prevent voter fraud. Should a ballot not contain this witness information – including the witnesses address, the ballot is disallowed. It must be returned to the voter so that the witness can provide the required information or be rendered a spoiled ballot and excluded from tabulations.

The WEC illegally – and knowingly so – advised election workers to write in the addresses. By following the guidance issued by the WEC, poll workers in fact rendered the ballots invalid.

“The statute is very, very clear,” said retired Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman. “If an absentee ballot does not have a witness address on it, it’s not valid. That ballot is not valid.”

“In defiance of and in direct contradiction to the statute, the Wisconsin Elections Commission gave guidance – that is, cover – to all 72 county clerks and turned the statute on his head,” Gableman explained. “They said, ‘Gee, we know the law says an absentee ballot without the witness address is not valid, but county clerk, you have a duty to go ahead and look up on your own the witness’ address if there’s no address on the absentee ballot.”

According to radio show host Dan O’Donnell, “The WEC sent uniform instructions to voters with their mail-in ballots that informed them that ‘your witness must sign and provide their full address (street number, street name, city) in the Certification of Witness section’ and warned that ‘if any of the required information above is missing, your ballot will not be counted.’”

O’Donnell further reported that evidence shows the WEC provided follow-up to clerks in October instructing them to fill-in the witness address portion of the ballot themselves so the ballots would be invalidated.

“Please note that the clerk should attempt to resolve any missing witness address information prior to Election Day if possible, and this can be done through reliable information (personal knowledge, voter registration information, through a phone call with the voter or witness),” the WEC wrote. “The witness does not need to appear to add a missing address.”

The Wisconsin GOP estimates that thousands of witness addresses were changed, thus invalidating the ballots on which they appeared. The legally binding remedy for this is to disallow those ballots and subtract a commensurate number of votes from the totals for the corresponding candidates. This means Wisconsin’s vote totals will substantially change if the law is followed.

ICE Launches Billboards Showing People Released By North Carolina Police

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched a billboard campaign this past week in Charlotte to educate the public about the dangers of non-cooperation policies. The billboards feature at-large immigration violators who may pose a public safety threat. These individuals were previously arrested or convicted of crimes in the U.S. but were released into the community instead of being transferred to ICE custody pursuant to an immigration detainer.

“Too often sanctuary policies limiting cooperation with ICE result in significant public safety concerns because they release dangerous individuals back into the community we are attempting to protect,” said Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Tony H. Pham. “ICE will continue to enforce immigration laws set forth by Congress through the efforts of the men and women of ICE to remove criminal aliens and making our communities safer.”

The billboards are located at or near:

I-85 .8 miles north of Billy Graham Parkway

I-277 (949 Brookshire Freeway) 150 feet east of Hamilton Street

I-485 .2 miles east of Dixie River Road

I-485 .2 miles west of Nations Ford Road

I-77 .3 mile south of Arrowood Road

ICE lodges immigration detainers on individuals who have been arrested on local criminal charges and who are suspected of being removable, so that ICE can take custody of that person when he or she is released from local custody. When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release serious criminal offenders onto the streets, it undermines ICE’s ability to protect public safety and carry out its mission.

The billboards feature cases like:

Paul Chander Evans, 26, a Jamaican national illegally present in the U.S. Evans was arrested by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Oct. 6 for assault on a female, felony breaking and entering, communicating threats and other charges. ICE lodged a detainer with the Mecklenburg County Jail, but due to their sanctuary policies, detainers have not been honored, and the subject was released to the community.

Andres Bautista-Alcantara, 29, a Dominican national illegally present in the U.S. Bautista-Alcantara was arrested by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Sept. 9 for two counts of 2nd degree forcible rape and violation of a domestic violence protection order. ICE lodged a detainer with the Mecklenburg County Jail, but due to their sanctuary policies, detainers have not been honored, and the subject was released to the community.

Omar Palomo-Garcia, 25, a Mexican national illegally present in the U.S. Palomo-Garcia was arrested by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department March 28 for assault on a female, felony cocaine possession and drug paraphernalia. ICE lodged a detainer, with the Mecklenburg County Jail, but due to their sanctuary policies, detainers have not been honored, and the subject was released to the community.

The public should call ICE at 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) if they have information to report about the whereabouts of an individual featured on one of the billboards.

Biden adviser says White House has not reached out to president-elect

President-elect Joe Biden’s senior campaign adviser Symone Sanders said Sunday that the White House has not reached out to the former vice president after he was projected to be the winner of the 2020 election.

Sanders told CNN’s “State of the Union” that “a number of Republicans” in Congress have reached out to Biden but that no one from the White House has.

"I think the White House has made clear what their strategy is here and that they are going to continue to participate and push forward these flailing and in many respects baseless legal strategies," she said.

"But the people … are the folks who decide elections in this country, and the people have spoken," she added.

Sanders also said that “the American people picked a good ticket,” adding that “there’s a lot of work to be done.”

President Trump has refused to concede to Biden after many news outlets projected the former vice president to have won the 2020 presidential election on Saturday.

In the days since Election Day, Trump has fueled unfounded theories that fraud was involved in the election due to the number of mail-in ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Trump campaign filed several lawsuits challenging the votes in different states.

For months ahead of the election, the president spread false claims that mail-in ballots opened up the election to fraud.

"The Federalist" senior editor Mollie Hemingway says the media is rushing to judgment by calling the 2020 election before counting is completed.

MOLLIE HEMINGWAY: The media clearly are doing everything in their power to help their candidate who is Joe Biden be able to claim that he won this election, and they are doing that in part on how they make calls on different states. Even though Pennsylvania has a hundred thousand provisional ballots outstanding and a bunch of mail-in ballots outstanding – far more than in North Carolina. The media are not calling North Carolina, that's a state Trump is ahead in but they do call Pennsylvania even before the counting is done.

The thing is that the media used to have a position of trust where they could say, this is going to happen, and people would generally trust it. The media because of how they've behaved for the last 4 years, where every single thing done more or less has been done to hurt Donald Trump and his supporters, to lie about Donald Trump and his supporters, to create false narratives of who is going to win an election, or whether there's Russia collusion, or whether Brett Kavanaugh is a serial gang rapist.

Everything that 71 million Trump supporters have seen from the media in the last 4 years has been fraudulent and corrupt. That doesn't mean the votes are no longer being counted or there are not legitimate legal challenges or this is over, so that's just the problem that the media has and they've made that decision to lose all credibility through their own behavior.

Democrats could block a landmark U.S. weapons sale to the United Arab Emirates to avoid unnerving Iranian officials, with whom President-elect Joe Biden already said he wants to negotiate in an effort to curb Tehran's nuclear program, according to an Israeli Mideast expert.

Prof. Eytan Gilboa, an expert on U.S. policy in the Middle East at Bar-Ilan University, believes if the Democrats mange to sweep both houses of Congress once all the votes are counted, they could threaten the planned sale of advanced F-35 jets to the UAE and even halt the advancement of the Abraham Accords, collective agreements among Israel, UAE and Bahrain, propelled by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“The assumption is that [Biden] won’t follow [Trump’s] path of that regional alliance because of his desire to negotiate a deal with Iran,” said Gilboa. “Supplying arms to Gulf states and adding more countries to the regional alliance with Israel will infuriate Iran, so he might put that on hold,” he said.

Democratic lawmakers, who already hold a majority in the House, have expressed their frustration with the rushed process. Rep. Eliot Engel, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, warned that “rushing these sales is not in anyone’s interest.”

Sen. Bob Menendez, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that “recklessly accelerating the timeline around a reportedly artificial deadline precludes sufficient consideration.”

Joe Biden plans to name his own task force to deal with the coronavirus pandemic before he takes office as he tries to get a grip on spiralling case numbers that are numbering more than 100,000 a day in the US.

The president-elect will on Monday announce a 12-member team to tackle the virus even before announcing any of his cabinet, Mr Biden said in his victory speech on Saturday night.

The move underlines Mr Biden’s pledge to make dealing with coronavirus his top priority, and stands in contrast with outgoing President Donald Trump, who has stopped meeting his own coronavirus task force, according to senior officials.

On Saturday, the US reported more than 128,000 coronavirus cases, the fourth day in a row of more than 100,000 infections and the fourth time it tallied a one-day record increase this week. Nearly every state reported rising trends in infections and hospitalisations.

Mr Biden will name three co-chairs of the panel, according to the digital news group Axios: Vivek Murthy, a former surgeon general; David Kessler, a former head of the Food and Drug Administration; and Marcella Nunez-Smith, associate professor of medicine at Yale University.

During the campaign, Mr Biden accused Mr Trump of being responsible for many of the deaths of Americans who have succumbed to Covid-19, a toll that stands at 229,000, saying he had failed to follow advice from his own administration’s scientists on how to deal with the outbreak.

The number of cases has spiked across the US in recent weeks as a third wave takes hold in most states. The latest figures from the Covid Tracking Project show there have been nearly 9.7m cases in the US since the pandemic began.

In his victory speech on Saturday, Mr Biden again pledged to change the way the US government tackles the pandemic.
