At Least 11 Reportedly Killed in Gunfire Targeting Iraqi Army in Baghdad

At least 11 people were killed after gunmen attacked an Iraqi army post in western Baghdad, Reuters reported Sunday, citing police and medics.

The shooting that reportedly left at least 11 people killed took place on a lookout point west of Baghdad. According to the reports, Daesh* terrorist group was behind the attack.

"IS attacked the monitoring tower, killing five members of the tribal Hashed and six local people who had come to help repel the attack," a security source told AFP.
