Halifax, Nova Scotia has a very deep underwater naval base, used since WWI for shipping munitions. It's the site of the largest naval explosion in history (before a-bombs).
Nearby, is Newfoundland, which is north east. It is the stopping point to Europe, these are critical harbots. This is where you hunt any one in Atlantic waters. Nazis hung out here, people who live in rural fishing towns in those areas all had to black their windows during the war because of nazi subs.
Those are very specific locations for earthquakes, almost exactly ontop of areas that people commonly see submarine or other naval activity.
