in 1975, several crew members seized the Soviet frigate Storozhevoy to protest corruption in the Brezhnev government. The USSR deployed half the Baltic fleet and 60 aircraft to pursue and retake the ship. The incident inspired Tom Clancy to write "The Hunt for Red October".
