Ex-Michigan Deputy Attorney General Alleges Detroit Counters Assigned Fraudulent Ballots to Non-Voters

A former deputy attorney general for Michigan made a series of shocking allegations in a sworn affidavit on Sunday, including vote fraud committed by Detroit ballot counters.

Zachary Larsen, who served in both the Bill Schuette (R) and Dana Nessel (D) administrations, was a Republican poll challenger and arrived at the TCF Center in Detroit to observe the absentee ballot counting process last week.

Larsen said “the secrecy of the ballot was not being respected” throughout the process.

“Instead, the second official at the table where I was observing was repeatedly placing her fingers into the secrecy sleeve to separate the envelope and visually peek into the envelopes in a way that would allow her to visually observe the ballot and identify some of the votes cast by the voter,” he said in an affidavit that was part of a suit filed by the Great Lakes Justice Center.

Larsen said other individuals in the ballot counting process would also “peek to observe the ballot,” and he confirmed with other observers that they were seeing similar behaviors.

He said he was concerned that by violating the secrecy, a worker’s personal political preferences may impact whether a ballot would be placed in the “problem ballots” box.

In another allegation, Larsen said he observed workers county ballots “without confirmation that the voter was an eligible voter in the poll book.”

According to Larsen:

The first ballot scanned came in as a match to an eligible voter. But the next several ballots that were scanned did not match any eligible voter in the poll book.

When the scan came up empty, the first official would type in the name “Pope” that brought up a voter by that last name.

I reviewed the running list of scanned in ballots in the computer system, and it appeared that the voter had already been counted as having voted. Then the first official appeared to assign a number to a different voter as I observed a completely different name that was added to the list of voters at the bottom of a running tab of processed ballots on the right side of the screen.

That same official would then make a handwritten notation on her “supplemental poll book,” which was a hard copy list that she had in front of her at the table.

“I was concerned that this practice of assigning names and numbers indicated that a ballot was being counted for a non-eligible voter who was not in either the poll book or the supplemental poll book,” Larsen said in his sworn affidavit, which comes with a legal punishment for not being truthful.

“From my observation of the computer screen, the voters were certainly not in the official poll book. Moreover, this appeared to be the case for the majority of the voters whose ballots I had personally observed being scanned.”

McConnell Backs Trump In Push For Recounts, Says Shouldn't Accept Election Results "From The Media"

Although you probably won't read much about it in the New York Times or Washington Post, support for President Trump pressing ahead with demands for recounts, or otherwise contesting the outcome of last week's election, appears to be growing among top-ranking Republicans.

Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and others raised questions about various irregularities (which actually aren't all that uncommon in American elections) earlier, and the GSA, the component of the federal government bureaucracy that oversees transfer of power and all that comes with it (moves in and out of the White House etc), said earlier that there would be no transfer of power until a "clear winner is clear based on the process laid out in the Constitution."

Now, Sen Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, arguably the most powerful Republican in Washington (perhaps even moreso than President Trump), has finally spoken up, and he's backing President Trump.

Sen. McConnell said Monday that Trump has every right not to accept the final results based on little more than media reports, and that President Trump is within his right to request vote recounts and file legal challenges to address irregularities, he said in opening floor comments.

The Kentucky Republican, who fended off a well-financed Democratic challenger, added, with perhaps a touch of sarcasm, that last week’s election "appears to have been free from meaningful foreign interference".

Earlier, McConnell said before the vote that "all legal ballots must be counted, all illegal ballots should not be counted,” and McConnell said again Monday on the Senate floor that "the process must be transparent."

The implications of these comments are momentous, and they drive home the fact that, as we wait to hear more from President Trump and the rest of the GOP establishment, this happy-go-lucky straightforward transition being priced in by the market hasn't been finalized quite yet. The markets now appear to agree, as US equities slipping headed into the close after what has been a wild ride higher since this morning's vaccine news. With minutes to go, the VIX is green for the day, and small caps might be headed for one of their biggest intraday reversals ever.

Meanwhile, the MSM is already explaining away McConnell's comments as more aggressive rhetoric meant to fire up the base in Georgia ahead of the Jan. 5 runoffs, where two GOP stalwarts will again defend their seats.

Barack Obama’s Iran echo chamber Ben Rhodes said that the media’s pretend president-elect Joe Biden is already “having phone calls” with foreign leaders about “the agenda they’re going to pursue January 20th.”

Apparently the Logan Act only applies to General Mike Flynn.

The Logan Act, enacted in January 30, 1799, is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.

Obama’s criminal and corrupt DOJ and FBI persecuted General Flynn for talking to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December of 2016 – after the electors already voted for Trump.

Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak were completely lawful and he was well within his authority as National Security Advisor designate during the Trump transition period.

In contrast no states have been certified Biden, no electors have cast their vote for Joe Biden but the media is applauding him as he speaks to foreign leaders about his agenda.

Sex Offender Used Chatango to Share Child Pornography

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — On November 6th, 2020, William Thomas appeared in court on past charges and was sentenced to 15 years Department of Corrections followed by 15 years sexual predator probation.

The 2018 investigation began when the task force was alerted to suspicious activity occurring in chat rooms hosted by Chatango, a website that hosts live group chats. The CEO of the company, contacted the task force in regards to a group of individuals who were using Chatango’s chat application to discuss, distribute, and trade child pornography. Chatango advised that they had shut several of the sites down, but the group continued to make new ones, attempting to disguise their IP addresses.

Chatango estimated there were between two to four individuals who were continuing to create and host these chat rooms. He reported that one of the individuals, who appeared to be a participant in the chat rooms, is located in the Port Charlotte, Florida area based on log information Chantango routinely collects. Information on the login names and IP addresses used by the individual were provided to the task force investigators.

Investigators reviewed the content of the chat rooms, gaining access to a video shared in the chat room through Dropfile links shared in the room. The video depicted a juvenile female performing sex acts. DFC Woelke was able to confirm that the IP address that provided the video link was assigned to a Comcast subscriber identified as Bill Thomas, of 233 Stebbins Terrace in Port Charlotte. A check of the address showed sex offender William Thomas registered to that same address.

On April 12, a search warrant was served on the Stebbins Terrace address. William Thomas requested an attorney prior to providing any statements. A search of his computer activity showed Williams had accounts on two chat/messaging programs, which he had not reported per his sex offender obligations.

During the search of the vehicle belonging to William, a pair of children’s panties (size 4) were located along with a pair of binoculars. Once the forensic examiner exploited the digital data from William’s laptop computer, the username associated with the video was located in the Chatango online application under the computer profile “bill”.

The FBI Fort Myers Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force arrested William Henry Thomas (11/26/49), on new charges in 2018. He was previously adjudicated guilty on December 20, 2002 in Charlotte County for Possession of Child Pornography. A Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputy, DFC Woelke, serves on this task force and participated in the investigation.

Texas Man Charged With Theft Of Over 100 Pieces Mail Including Absentee Ballot

HOUSTON ‐ A 24-year-old resident of Houston has been arrested on charges of mail theft, announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick.

Daruin Anelby Rosario is set to make his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Christina A. Bryan at 2 p.m. today.

On Nov. 5, local authorities conducted a traffic stop which led to a search of Rosario’s vehicle, according to the complaint. Inside, law enforcement allegedly found a large quantity of unopened and opened mail in the names of others.

A subsequent inventory of the mail pieces revealed letters, financial checks as well as an unopened mail-in ballot for the State of Washington, according to the charges. Law enforcement immediately forwarded the ballot to election authorities in Washington.

If convicted, Rosario faces up to five years in federal prison and a possible $250,000 maximum fine.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Humble Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Luis Batarse and Kate Suh are prosecuting the case.

Dr. Fauci Told the Truth About COVID-19 Tests in July and Has Been Misleading the Public Ever Since

One of the most frustrating aspects of COVID-19 coverage has been the emphasis on “cases,” reinforced by Dr. Anthony Fauci. In fact, he was wringing his hands about rising “case” numbers on CNN in early October. These numbers are actually positive tests. The New York Times and several experts admitted in late August that up to 90% of positive PCR tests were not indicative of the active illness that could be transmitted to others.

As it turns out, Fauci expressed a similar opinion in July. As I have reported several times before, the cycle threshold (Ct), or the number of times the test sample is amplified, is too high. According to Just the News, Dr. Fauci acknowledged this in an interview with “This Week in Virology”:

Joining the hosts of This Week in Virology in July, Fauci directly responded to a question about COVID-19 testing, specifically how patients with positive tests might determine whether or not they are actually infectious and need to quarantine.

“What is now sort of evolving into a bit of a standard,” Fauci said, is that “if you get a cycle threshold of 35 or more … the chances of it being replication-confident are minuscule.”

“It’s very frustrating for the patients as well as for the physicians,” he continued, when “somebody comes in, and they repeat their PCR, and it’s like [a] 37 cycle threshold, but you almost never can culture virus from a 37 threshold cycle.”

So, I think if somebody does come in with 37, 38, even 36, you got to say, you know, it’s just dead nucleotides, period.”

He also noted that the Ct count is not provided to patients and physicians automatically. The tests are simply returned as positive or negative. The entire idea of “asymptomatic” cases dissolves once you understand this. Especially when you understand there is a level of immunity in the population because of T-cell reactivity. This is long-term immunity related to exposure to other coronaviruses. People who have this reaction would have the same presentation as a recovered patient.

Obviously, the CDC knew there was an issue with picking up inert viral RNA. In July, the agency discouraged retesting recovered patients who suffered mild-to-moderate illness. Here was the rationale:

Recovered persons can continue to shed detectable SARS-CoV-2 RNA in upper respiratory specimens for up to 3 months after illness onset, albeit at concentrations considerably lower than during illness, in ranges where replication-competent virus has not been reliably recovered and infectiousness is unlikely.

It looks like the FDA was aware of this glitch in the PCR test as well. In the Emergency Use Authorization for Panther Fusion’s COVID-19 PCR test, it is noted under “Limitations”:

A positive result indicates the detection of nucleic acid from the relevant virus. Nucleic acid may persist even after the virus is no longer viable.

Also:

The Panther Fusion SARS-CoV-2 assay may be used to test asymptomatic individuals, although performance has not been demonstrated in an asymptomatic population. This assay has been shown to exhibit high sensitivity when tested with the FDA reference panel.

Granted, Panther is one of many PCR tests. However, The New York Times‘ reporting, the CDC guidelines, and Dr. Fauci’s comments confirm these principles can be applied to PCR testing generally. Experts interviewed by The New York Times suggested a cutoff of 30 Ct would be appropriate. If Dr. Fauci arrived at this conclusion in July, why are labs in the United States still using up to 40 Ct. as the standard when it appears the right Ct is somewhere between 30 and 35?

Dr. Fauci and other “experts” like former FDA Director Dr. Scott Gottlieb are constantly pushing positive tests and lamenting a rise in their numbers. They erroneously refer to these numbers as cases, which they are not under any previous definition. It is also clear there is likely some significant number of false positives. So what gives?

Peacekeepers to Be Deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh, Putin Says

The statement on terminating the war in Karabakh on 10 November was signed earlier by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia, and the Armenian prime minister, the Kremlin confirmed.

Peacekeepers will be deployed along the front line in Nagorno-Karabakh in accordance with the joint statement signed earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

He said that Azerbaijan and Armenia will stop at the occupied positions, adding that the transport hubs in Karabakh will be unblocked. He also said the two sides should exchange prisoners of war.

According to the Russian leader, the new ceasefire agreement will hopefully create conditions for a long-term solution to Nagorno-Karabakh crisis in the interests of both peoples.

Earlier, the Kremlin confirmed the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a joint statement on the cessation of hostilities in Karabakh.

"A statement has been signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. A complete cessation of fire and all hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have been announced", Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also wrote on Facebook that he signed the statement on ending the Karabakh war.

“What we have here is four years of a president who was targeted, not only by the mainstream media, but by a bureaucracy that was intent on pushing him out,” Carter said, adding: “And not only Democrats, but there were Republicans that wanted the same thing and we know that. We saw that with the Lincoln Project.”

“This president had gone after so much against him, and now we see the American people—so many more have voted for him, over 70 million than before,” she continued. “And now it’s up to the American people to stand back, let the courts take care of the process, and, in the end, we’re going to get an answer.”

Then she directed her attention at President-elect Joe Biden and his team, telling them to let these legal challenges play out in the courts if he wishes for a peaceful transfer of power.

“If the Biden campaign and the Biden future administration, if that’s what it’s going to be, believes that they won, let this play out—let this play out in the courts, let us count those votes, let us find out what was going on with those computers with dominion technologies in particular,” she said, adding, “and then we’ll have an answer and we will have a peaceful transition of power.”

Trump’s (Alleged) Defeat a Stunning Rebuke to Obama, Hillary

For reasons too numerous to count, President Donald J. Trump will go down in history as a world-historic leader who defied the odds at every turn.

Trump's 2016 election was a stunning rebuke to both his opponent, Hillary Clinton, and his predecessor, Barack Obama. Amazingly enough, so is his (alleged) defeat in the 2020 election.

In addition to undoing the vast majority of Obama's legacy, Trump is on track to receive more than 71 million votes in this year's election. That means more people will have voted for Trump in 2020 than voted for Obama in the 2008 (69 million) and 2012 (66 million) elections.

The nature of Trump's (alleged) defeat is also rather embarrassing for the former president. His opponent this time around, Joe Biden, wanted to run for president in 2016. His boss, Obama, talked him out of it. According to the New York Times, Obama "quietly pressured Mr. Biden to sit out the race, partly because he believed Mrs. Clinton had a better chance of building on his agenda."

We all know how that turned out. Obama's legacy would be forever altered by this ill-advised piece of advice. Biden's apparent victory in 2020 strongly suggests that Hillary Clinton is the only American eligible to run for president who is capable of losing an election to Donald Trump.

For whatever reason, Obama just doesn't seem to have a high opinion of his former running mate. Despite being multimillionaires, Obama and his wife Michelle declined to donate to the Biden campaign. A recently released excerpt from Obama's forthcoming memoir—regarding the effort to pass Obamacare—contained 13,000 words, only one of which was "Biden."

That would explain why in 2019, with Hillary out of the picture, Obama tried once again to talk Biden out of running for president. "You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t," Obama reportedly told him. Additional reporting suggests Obama continued to express a lack of confidence in his former colleague.

For example, Obama reportedly told one 2020 candidate that Biden "doesn't really have it" and is also said to have warned a fellow Democrat: "Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up." Biden isn't necessarily a huge fan of his former boss, either. After getting no credit for passing healthcare reform, Biden vowed to replace it with "Bidencare," a plan that "will, in fact, provide for. . .affordable healthcare."

As for Hillary, it must be absolutely devastating to watch Joe Biden (allegedly) accomplish the only thing she has ever wanted in her entire life. Not only that, but he did so by beating the man who defeated her four years earlier, when her entire legacy was transformed in a matter of hours—from presumptive first female president in history to failed candidate who ushered in the Trump era.

When historians look back on the past several years, the Democratic Party's insistence on nominating Hillary in 2016 is likely to go down as one of the stupidest decisions of the 21st century.

Americans are still divided over the reported results of the 2020 election, but one issue that is bringing the country together is a shared disgust of opinion polling. Several “mainstream” polling firms, and the legacy media outlets that tout their bogus findings, have disgraced themselves with wildly inaccurate predictions that managed to tilt almost entirely in a single direction. President Trump plans to continue campaign-style rallies – including brandishing obituaries for people who allegedly voted – as he continues to wage a legal battle over the election results.

Axios reported on the Trump campaign’s plans following shortly after the media’s declaration that Biden had won the 2020 contest.

Four advisors to the President told Axios that “President Trump plans to brandish obituaries of people who supposedly voted but are dead” and “hold campaign-style rallies.”

The sources claim the obituaries will serve as “specific pieces of evidence” aimed at supporting the President’s yet unproven claims of election fraud.

Aside from the rallies and obituaries, the Trump campaign has made it very clear they do not intend to concede to Joe Biden until they’ve explored every legal avenue.

And they’re developing a ground game to fight the battles.

We want to make sure we have an adequate supply of manpower on the ground for man-to-man combat,” one adviser told Axios.

Legal challenges continue in the states of Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, with over 90 campaign staffers being shifted to the Peach State from Florida.

The rallies appear to be an effort to inform supporters of the specific legal challenges that lie ahead.

The President’s plan to brandish obituaries at his campaign-style rallies appears to be an attempt to seize the narrative away from mainstream media outlets who have denied dead people cast votes in the election.

Several social media posts have made the claim but concrete evidence has not been presented.

THIRD study finds that COVID-19 antibodies fade “very, very quickly,” rendering vaccine useless

The third such study in recent days to make this suggestion, a new paper published by researchers from Guy’s and St. Thomas’ National Health Service Foundation Trust in London has determined that the antibodies developed after infection with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) only last a very short time, meaning any future vaccine for the novel virus will be certifiably useless.

After analyzing the immune responses of patients and health care workers who became infected with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), researchers from this institution found that the antibodies created to destroy the virus waned rather quickly, typically within just a few short weeks. After a couple of months, only 16.7 percent of patients still had any antibody response at all.

“The study found that 60 percent of the patients had a ‘potent’ antibody response at the peak of their battle with the coronavirus,” reports reveal. “After about two months, however, just 16.7 percent of the patients had a potent antibody response.”

These findings, along with those of earlier studies that reportedly came to similar conclusions, have drastic implications for the development of a vaccine for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). In essence, there will never be a vaccine good enough to combat the novel virus, no matter how “potent.”

“Not only do antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 fade, and perhaps fade quickly, studies have also shown that only 15 percent of those who test positive for antibodies make the neutralizing antibodies necessary to develop immunity in the first place,” says Dr. William Haseltine. “And not all of those who make neutralizing antibodies make them at high levels. Some of those infected make no antibodies at all.”

Lawsuit Alleges Detroit Officials Knowingly Committed Mass Voter Fraud

Poll watchers in Wayne County have filed a lawsuit against the City of Detroit and several elections officials alleging widespread voter fraud has been taking place in and around the Detroit elections offices.

Filed via the Great Lakes Justice Center for Plaintiffs Cheryl Constantino and Edward McCall, the suit claims that elections officials assigned random ballots to people who had not voted yet, accepted ballots after the deadline, failed to verify signatures and identification of voters, thousands of unsealed and unsecured ballots arrived and were all marked for Biden, officials instructed people to vote for democrats, challenges to ballots were not recorded, and poll watchers were eventually kicked out.

These allegations are backed up by sworn affidavits from multiple individuals who witnessed this rampant disregard for the laws and standards.

From the lawsuit:

3.In summary, this Complaint raises numerous instances of fraud, including, but not limited to:

a. Defendants systematically processed and counted ballots from voters whose name failed to appear in either the Qualified Voter File (QVF) or in the supplemental sheets. When a voter’s name could not be found, the election worker assigned the ballot to a random name already in the QVF to a person who had not voted.

b. Defendants instructed election workers to not verify signatures on absentee ballots, to backdate absentee ballots, and to process such ballots regardless of their validity.

c. After election officials announced the last absentee ballots had been received, another batch of unsecured and unsealed ballots, without envelopes, arrived in trays at the TCF Center. There were tens of thousands of these absentee ballots, and apparently every ballot was counted and attributed only to Democratic candidates.

d. Defendants instructed election workers to process ballots that appeared after the election deadline and to falsely report that those ballots had been received prior to November 3, 2020 deadline.

e. Defendants systematically used false information to process ballots, such as using incorrect or false birthdays. Many times, the election workers inserted new names into the QVF after the election and recorded these new voters as having a birthdate of 1/1/1900.

f. On a daily basis leading up to the election, City of Detroit election workers and employees coached voters to vote for Joe Biden and the Democrat party. These workers and employees encouraged voters to do a straight Democrat ballot. These election workers and employees went over to the voting booths with voters in order to watch them vote and coach them for whom to vote.

g. Unsecured ballots arrived at the TCF Center loading garage, not in sealed ballot boxes, without any chain of custody, and without envelopes.

h. Defendant election officials and workers refused to record challenges to their processes and removed challengers from the site if they politely voiced a challenge.

i. After poll challengers started discovering the fraud taking place at the TCF Center, Defendant election officials and workers locked credentialed challengers out of the counting room so they could not observe the process, during which time tens of thousands of ballots were processed.

j. Defendant election officials and workers allowed ballots to be duplicated by hand without allowing poll challengers to check if the duplication was accurate. In fact, election officials and workers repeatedly obstructed poll challengers from observing. Defendants permitted thousands of ballots to be filled out by hand and duplicated on site without oversight from poll challengers.

Trump Campaign Files Lawsuit in Pennsylvania Alleging “Creation and Implementation of Illegal ‘Two-Tiered’ Voting System For Election”

President Trump’s campaign on Monday evening filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania alleging “creation and implementation of illegal ‘two-tiered’ voting system for the election.”

“Voters in Pennsylvania were held to different standards simply based on how they chose to cast their ballot, and we believe this two-tiered election system resulted in potentially fraudulent votes being counted without proper verification or oversight,” Matt Morgan, Trump’s general counsel said.

The Trump campaign is seeking an emergency injunction to stop Pennsylvania officials from certifying Joe Biden’s victory.

Trump’s general counsel explained Pennsylvania’s illegal two-tiered voting system during a press conference.

Matt Morgan said today’s lawsuit against Pennsylvania is just step one of a process.

Of course the Trump campaign’s goal is to take the case all the way up to the Supreme Court.

Esper firing hints at broader post-election shake-up

President Trump on Monday fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper in what Republicans expect to be the first of several leadership changes during the final two months of his administration.

The president has also indicated to allies that two top officials on his intelligence team are on the chopping block: FBI Director Christopher Wray and CIA Director Gina Haspel.

Trump and some congressional Republicans have repeatedly and publicly complained about the two officials, angered that they were not cooperative in pursuing unproven allegations that the Obama administration illegally spied on the Trump campaign, or in Wray’s case, allegations about Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

FBI directors are appointed for 10-year terms, meaning Wray could stay on the job until 2027 if he is not ousted. Haspel was appointed to lead the CIA in 2018.

National security experts are deeply worried about the loss of Esper and questions about whether the acting secretary will be in over his head. They’re also unnerved by the potential for disruption at the FBI and CIA during a presidential transition.

“Esper seems like only the beginning, this is going to go on until noon on Jan. 20 so God help us all,” said Dov Zakheim, a former foreign policy adviser and undersecretary of Defense for George W. Bush.

One administration official said Trump’s anger could extend to public health agencies, whose leaders have at times undercut or broken with the president in giving guidance to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Trump could target Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield, the official said.

The president publicly mused at a rally this month about firing Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases. But Fauci is not a political appointee and thus can’t be fired directly by Trump.

The purge could extend to lower level White House staffers in the coming days and weeks. John McEntee, the head of the Presidential Personnel Office, reportedly warned that staff who are discovered to be looking for other jobs will be fired.

One administration source said that some agencies had not received such word from the White House and instead learned of it from the press, and remarked that it was a sign McEntee was concerned about people leaving.

The threat puts White House staff in a difficult position, as Joe Biden has been projected as president-elect and will take office in January, but Trump has refused to concede.

Meanwhile, Mr Biden has spent most of today focused on the pandemic.

The president-elect named the members of his new COVID-19 advisory board, and then addressed the American people, pleading with them to wear face masks in the coming months.

“Please, I implore you, wear a mask,” he said.

“Do it for yourself, do it for your neighbor. A mask is not a political statement, but it is a good way to start pulling the country together.

“I want to be very clear, the goal of mask wearing is not to make your life less comfortable or take something away from you. It’s to give something back to all of us – a normal life. The goal is to get back to normal as fast as possible and masks are critical in doing that.

“It won’t be forever, but that’s how we’ll get our nation back up to speed economically. So we can go back to celebrating birthdays and holidays together. So we can attend sporting events together. So we can get back to the lives and connections we shared before the pandemic.

“Wearing a mask seems like a small act. Maybe you think your individual choice won’t make any difference. Throughout our history, throughout the history of our nation, we’ve seen over and over how small acts add up to enormous achievements. It’s the weight of many small acts together that bend the arc of history.

“I know there’s nothing that the American people can’t accomplish when we work together, as one people, with one mission. We can get this virus under control, I promise you. We can rebuild our economy back better than it was before. We can address race based disparities that damage our country. It’s in our power.

The was some positive news regarding the virus today, with Pfizer announcing its potential vaccine had proven to be 90 per cent effective in clinical trials.

Mr Biden welcomed the news, but stressed that no vaccine would be widely distributed to the general public for months.

“It’s clear that this vaccine, even if approved, will not be widely available for many months yet to come. The challenge before us now is still immense, and growing,” he said.
