Fox News has cut away from a press conference by Trump campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany for making unsupported allegations.

Donald Trump remains determined to challenge his defeat to Joe Biden in the courts, despite the lack of evidence to back up his claims of widespread fraud.

His legal fight suffered another blow today with the man overseeing it, adviser David Bossie, testing positive for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Mr Biden has spent most of today focused on the pandemic.

The president-elect named the members of his new COVID-19 advisory board, and then addressed the American people, pleading with them to wear face masks in the coming months.

“Please, I implore you, wear a mask,” he said.

“Do it for yourself, do it for your neighbor. A mask is not a political statement, but it is a good way to start pulling the country together.

“I want to be very clear, the goal of mask wearing is not to make your life less comfortable or take something away from you. It’s to give something back to all of us – a normal life. The goal is to get back to normal as fast as possible and masks are critical in doing that.

“It won’t be forever, but that’s how we’ll get our nation back up to speed economically. So we can go back to celebrating birthdays and holidays together. So we can attend sporting events together. So we can get back to the lives and connections we shared before the pandemic.

“Wearing a mask seems like a small act. Maybe you think your individual choice won’t make any difference. Throughout our history, throughout the history of our nation, we’ve seen over and over how small acts add up to enormous achievements. It’s the weight of many small acts together that bend the arc of history.

“I know there’s nothing that the American people can’t accomplish when we work together, as one people, with one mission. We can get this virus under control, I promise you. We can rebuild our economy back better than it was before. We can address race based disparities that damage our country. It’s in our power.

“So let’s wear a mask. Let’s get to work.”

The was some positive news regarding the virus today, with Pfizer announcing its potential vaccine had proven to be 90 per cent effective in clinical trials.

Mr Biden welcomed the news, but stressed that no vaccine would be widely distributed to the general public for months.

“It’s clear that this vaccine, even if approved, will not be widely available for many months yet to come. The challenge before us now is still immense, and growing,” he said.

Photos: Docs Show Roger Stone’s $1.5 Million Tax Liens Forgiven After Presidential Pardon

Roger Stone, a former adviser for US President Donald Trump’s campaign, has been granted a withdrawal of nearly $1.5 million in federal tax liens after meeting “one or more” elements of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), according to a recent filing by the US Department of the Treasury.

An October 21 filing from the US Treasury’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) detailed the February 2012 federal tax lien against Stone had been withdrawn due to his satisfying IRC section 6323(j).

According to the IRC section referenced, the decision to withdraw could be related to Stone’s compliance with an installment agreement or the IRS concluding that the withdrawal would be in the “best interests of the United States and the taxpayer.”

The court document, stamped by a Miami Beach, Florida, court and republished Monday by reporter Robert Snell, showed the former Trump campaign adviser was hit with liens in 2009 and 2010 for failure to file annual income tax returns for the tax periods ending in December 2007 and December 2008. Together, the liens totaled more than $1 million.

A second document filed in Florida’s city of Fort Lauderdale showed some $500,000 in additional liens were also withdrawn, bringing the total to $1,493,008.10.

While Stone’s liens have been withdrawn, the IRS more frequently audits taxpayers in lower income brackets than him.

The IRS website states those who claim the earned income tax credit (EITC) - “a refundable tax credit for certain people who work and have earned income” - are generally “rural, lower income taxpayers.” Audits of such taxpayers occur because they are more likely to claim the credit.

Commissioner of Internal Revenue Charles Rettig asserted in a September 2019 letter to Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) that it is cheaper for his agency to audit those who claim the EITC than their generally wealthier counterparts.

“The IRS cannot simply shift examination resources from single issue correspondence audits to more complex higher income audits because of employee experience and skillset,” he wrote. “A GS-8 tax examiner is not trained to conduct a high income, high wealth taxpayer audit.”

GS-8 refers to the eighth pay grade in the General Schedule (GS) payscale.

“Congress must fund and the IRS must hire and train appropriate numbers of RAs [revenue agents] to have appropriately balanced coverage across all income levels,” he concluded.

Stone had his 40-month prison sentence, two-year probation and related $20,000 fine revoked earlier this year via a clemency order signed by the US president.

He suggested in September that ballots in Nevada be “seized by federal marshals and taken from the state.”

“They are completely corrupted,” he said, weeks before the presidential election took place on November 3. “No votes should be counted from the state of Nevada if that turns out to be the provable case. Send federal marshals to the Clark County Board of Elections, Mr. President!”

Customs Intercepts $9.3M In Counterfeit Designer Merchandise

DALLAS – The largest holiday shopping season is underway and counterfeiters are eager to fool U.S. consumers into purchasing goods. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Dallas Fort Worth port of entry intercepted a shipment of counterfeit footwear, handbags, and textiles worth over $9.3 million dollars.

This shipment of counterfeit designer merchandise originated in China and was destined for McKinney, Texas.

“Criminal organizations are well aware that consumers will be shopping online for the best deals this holiday season,” said Timothy M. Lemaux, Port Director, Area Port of Dallas. “Our officers will take every opportunity to protect the American consumer and we caution those consumers that if an online deal seems too good to be true, then it probably is.”

CBP officers experience led them to perform a thorough examination of the shipment of 148 boxes manifested as “Ladies Sweater Ladies Sweatpants”. That exam yielded a treasure trove of poorly packaged footwear, handbags and textiles bearing protected trademarks such as Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Adida’s Yeezy designer footwear line. Officers suspected that the imported merchandise may have been counterfeit due to its poor quality of workmanship, packaging inconsistent with genuine merchandise, and previous experience with similar products.

CBP worked in cooperation with Consumer Products and Mass Merchandise, Centers for Excellence and Expertise Import Division, determined that the items were in-fact counterfeit and infringing on protected trademarks. CBP provided the importer an opportunity to provide documentation of applicable licenses or agreements permitting the use of those registered trademarks prior to the seizure.

In fiscal year 20, CBP processed $2.4 trillion in imports, ensuring that goods coming into the country are safe and legal. By the end of the last fiscal year, CBP recorded more than 23,700 seizures of counterfeit goods, with an estimated value of $1.2 billion.

Serbia links economic ties with Russia-led free trade zone

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Monday ratifying an agreement on a free-trade zone between the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the Republic of Serbia.

The agreement, which was signed in Moscow on October 25, 2019, forms the basic rules of trade between the member states of the EEU and Serbia, in accordance with the norms of the World Trade Organization. In July, the ratification of the free-trade zone agreement was approved by the Russian government.

Including Serbia in the free-trade zone of the EEU could open up new opportunities for development of business links, Putin said earlier. Russia and Serbia are strengthening cooperation, particularly regarding transportation infrastructure, he added. Both also want to improve banking cooperation.

A trade bloc established in 2015, the EEU is based on the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The union was later joined by Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. In 2016, Vietnam officially became the first non-regional country to join the bloc. The union is designed to ensure the free movement of goods, services, capital, and workers between member countries.

More than 50 countries and international organizations, including China, Indonesia, Jordan, Thailand, and some South American countries, have expressed interest in a free-trade deal with the EEU. Talks with Egypt, Israel, and Argentina are currently underway.

Judicial Watch Statement on the Disputed Presidential Election

Joe Biden is not “president-elect.”

Changing results after Election Day raises significant legal and constitutional concerns, and President Trump should use available legal and constitutional remedies to help ensure the election results can be trusted by the American people.

It is not normal for multiple states to be counting presidential votes for days after Election Day. And it raises significant concerns about the validity of post-election counts.

Meanwhile, the media, including social media like Twitter and Facebook, are inaccurately labeling Biden is president-elect. No official sources have called the election. Federal law and the Constitution limit official sources to state officials, the Electoral College, and, ultimately, Congress.

Judicial Watch has long warned of the chaos and increased risk of fraud from recklessly mailing 100 million ballots and ballot applications. Our most recent research, in September, revealed that 353 U.S. counties had 1.8 million more registered voters than eligible voting-age citizens. In other words, the registration rates of those counties exceeded 100% of eligible voters. The study collected the most recent registration data posted online by the states themselves. This data was then compared to the Census Bureau’s most recent five-year population estimates, gathered by the American Community Survey (ACS) from 2014 through 2018. ACS surveys are sent to 3.5 million addresses each month, and its five-year estimates are considered to be the most reliable estimates outside of the decennial census.

In Pennsylvania, our litigation to clean up dirty voting rolls there uncovered 800,000 “extra” names on the rolls. In fact, Pennsylvania state and county authorities gave conflicting numbers about their registration list numbers to a federal court.

Federal law seems clear that the presidential contest was supposed to be decided by Election Day. For example, 3 U.S. Code § 1 states:

The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President

On Election Day, President Trump had the votes to win the presidency. These vote totals were changed because of unprecedented and extraordinary counting after Election Day.

The state legislatures of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona have independent constitutional authority to resolve presidential election disputes. And Congress has the ultimate authority to accept or reject electors.

In the meantime, Judicial Watch today launched a comprehensive investigation into the election controversy under state and federal freedom of information laws.

Thankfully, the Constitution does not give the media the ability to declare the winner of a presidential election.

Doomed to Failure: All of France’s Counterterror Initiatives

A critical question arises in light of the recent spate of fatal terror attacks in France and other European nations: How do you once and for all eradicate “extremism” from Muslim communities living in the West?

Western leaders usually respond by citing anything and everything from new “initiatives” meant to foster closer relations between Muslim communities and their host nations, to surveillance measures of hot spots and mosques.

Lamentably, history has already proven that even much more draconian measures against Islam—of the sort that modern Western man cannot even conceive let along implement—are doomed to failure.

Consider the historical experiences of France’s neighbor, Spain. In the eighth century, Muslims from Africa invaded and brutally conquered the Iberian Peninsula. Christians were massacred and subjugated; churches were destroyed and/or converted to mosques. By the late fifteenth century, however—after centuries of wars to liberate Spain from Islam (AKA, the Reconquista)—Christian rule finally extended to every corner of the peninsula.

Muslims, however, remained, mostly centered in Granada. Originally, they were given lenient terms: Muslims could continue practicing their religion, enforce sharia in their own communities, and even travel freely.

Even so, whenever the opportunity arose, Muslims rebelled and launched many hard-to-quell uprisings, some “involving the stoning, dismembering, beheading, impaling, and burning alive of Christians.” Muslims also regularly colluded with foreign Muslim powers (e.g., North Africans, Ottoman Turks) in an effort to subvert Spain back to Islam.

Fed up with this “enemy within,” the Spanish crown finally decreed in 1501 that all Muslims had two choices: convert to Christianity or leave Spain. The motivation was less religious and more political; it was less about making Muslims “good Christians” and more about making them “good citizens.” So long as they remained Muslim—thereby operating under the highly divisive doctrine of “loyalty and enmity”—they would remain hostile and disloyal to Christian Spain; and because secularism, atheism, multiculturalism, or just general “wokeness,” were not options then, the only practical way Muslims could slough off their tribalism and be loyal to a Christian kingdom was by embracing its faith.

Spain’s entire Muslim population—hundreds of thousands of Muslims—responded by openly embracing Christianity while remaining crypto-Muslims, in keeping with the Muslim doctrine of taqiyya. It teaches that, whenever Muslims find themselves under infidel authority, they may say and do almost anything—denounce Muhammad, receive baptism and communion, venerate the cross—as long as their hearts remain true to Islam. So, in public, these newly converted “Christians” went to church and baptized their children; at home, they recited the Koran, preached undying hate for the infidel, and plotted how to destroy Christian Spain.

Navy announces freeze in diversity and inclusion training

The Department of the Navy is freezing diversity and inclusion training for sailors and Marines, a move that comes after an executive order was signed in September barring the armed services from conducting training suggesting the United States is “fundamentally racist.”

According to an ALNAV message released this month, the Department of the Navy will “suspend all civilian and military personnel training relating to diversity and inclusion.” In order for training for military personnel to restart, the Navy and Marine Corps must receive a stamp of approval from the assistant secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs after submitting proposals for training certification.

That will require the Navy and the Marine Corps to provide information including the course name, whether the course is mandatory or not, along with a course description, syllabus, and “agenda” and other pertinent information.

The change stems from an executive order which argued that diversity training asserting the U.S. is an “irredeemably racist and sexist” country undermines the armed forces.

“[The] Uniformed Services should not teach our heroic men and women in uniform the lie that the country for which they are willing to die is fundamentally racist,” President Donald Trump wrote in the Sept. 22 order. “Such teachings could directly threaten the cohesion and effectiveness of our Uniformed Services.”

According to the executive order, “many people” have promoted a “different vision of America” that is based on a hierarchy of certain social and political identities — not one that values the “equal dignity of every person as an individual.”

“This ideology is rooted in the pernicious and false belief that America is an irredeemably racist and sexist country; that some people, simply on account of their race or sex, are oppressors; and that racial and sexual identities are more important than our common status as human beings and Americans,” Trump wrote in the order.

Social Distancing is Increasing Loneliness in Older Adults

Social distancing introduced in response to COVID-19 is increasing feelings of loneliness in Scotland’s older population and impacting their wellbeing, according to a new University of Stirling study.

The research has identified a link between increases in loneliness in over 60s and the worsening of wellbeing and health. Increasing loneliness due to social distancing was associated with a smaller social network, lower perceived social support and a decrease in wellbeing, the study found.

The findings emerge from research launched under the Scottish Government’s Chief Scientist Office Rapid Research in COVID-19 programme in May. Professor Anna Whittaker, of the University’s Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport, led the work and hopes it will help to inform decision-making on the virus and support post-pandemic recovery strategies.

Professor Whittaker said: “Previous studies have demonstrated the negative impacts of social isolation and loneliness. This is a key issue for older adults who may be more likely to have few social contacts. We know that social distancing guidelines introduced in response to COVID-19 have restricted social activity engagement and impacted vulnerable groups, including older adults.

“Our study, which involved a survey of more than 1,400 older people, examined the impact of social distancing during the pandemic on social activity, loneliness and wellbeing. The majority of survey participants reported that social distancing has made them experience more loneliness, social contact with fewer people, and less social contact overall.

“We found that a larger social network and better perceived social support seems to be protective against loneliness and poorer health and wellbeing, due to social distancing. This underlines the importance of addressing loneliness and social contact in older adults, but particularly during pandemics or situations where the risk of isolation is high.”

Of the 1,429 survey participants, 84 percent were aged 60 or over and had an average social network of five people. On average, the participants socialised five days per week, for more than 6.6 hours per week. Fifty-six percent reported that social distancing regulations made them experience more loneliness – with scores that were significantly higher than reported norms; the same quality of perceived support; but social contact with fewer people and less social contact overall.

Greater loneliness was significantly associated with a smaller social network, lower perceived social support, and a decrease in social support frequency, quality, and amount – and a worsening of wellbeing and health.

Hedge Fund Groups Have Immediately Started Lobbying President-Elect Biden

Hedge funds, who have spent the last 4 years in a paradise of sorts with President Trump slashing regulations, are now opening their arms and are eager to try and embrace what will likely be a far stricter President Biden.

The Managed Funds Association, which calls itself "The Voice of the Global Alternative Investment Industry", issued a statement last week after Joe Biden was declared President-elect - to congratulate him, of course, but also to remind him exactly how important hedge funds are to the average American (pause for laughter).

"The hedge fund and alternative investment industry congratulates President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their election victory. Hedge funds are a critical component in the global financial ecosystem, managing more than $3.3 trillion in assets," the letter says.

It continues, hilariously trying to remind Biden how important hedge funds are to teachers and fire fighters: "In all 50 states, institutional investors like pension funds, charitable foundations, and university endowments rely on investments in hedge funds, credit funds, and other alternative investment funds to diversify their investments, manage risk, and generate attractive returns in all market conditions. Their investments help support the retirement security of more than 26 million teachers, fire fighters, and other public employees, fund college education, and enable the vital work done by foundations and charities."

And concludes with obligatory olive branch: “The hedge fund industry looks forward to working with the Biden administration on public policies that promote fair, efficient, and transparent capital markets.”

As Michael Bodley noted on Twitter, there are two notable issues on the table for hedge funds with Biden at the helm of the country. The first is potential updates to an SEC advertising rule that could change how hedge funds market. It's the first time in 60 years this rule has been looked at. Second is the potential for loosening broker-dealer registration, which could create more competition for raising money.

Conservative politicians from President Trump to Senate members have railed against social media companies for their brazen censorship and de-platforming of conservative social media users. In recent weeks, Republicans on the Senate Commerce Committee grilled Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Google's Sundar Pichai, and Twitter's Jack Dorsey over their content-moderation practices.

Lately, Republican social media users, who have been censored or de-platformed, have embarked on a great migration to a new platform, that is, Parler, bills itself as a Twitter rival with "an unbiased social media focused on real user experiences and engagement."

According to radio host Dan Bongino, who has an "ownership stake" in Parler - the platform has "exploded" with new users:

"We're adding thousands of users per minute, and we're working out the glitches as a result."

The influx of new users, likely ex-Twitter/Facebook Republican folks, who have had their content censored or have been banned from the platform or are just fed up with liberals censoring their every tweet/post, have made Parler the "most downloaded application in the US on Google Play, overtaking such platforms as TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter," said RT News.

"Prior to June, Parler was averaging about 2,000 downloads. Its user base doubled that month, to about 1.5 million, after Twitter's banning of conservative meme creator Carpe Donktum sparked an anti-censorship backlash. Parler is now reportedly adding as many users per minute as it used to gain in a day," RT said.

Bongino tweeted that "liberal lunatics" running social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter "have awakened a sleeping giant. We gave a collective middle finger to the tech tyrants just now as Parler became the NUMBER ONE most downloaded app in the world."

AG Barr authorizes DOJ probe of allegations of ‘voting irregularities’ in 2020 election

Attorney General Bill Barr has authorized a Justice Department probe of allegations of “voting irregularities” — despite little evidence of voting fraud in the 2020 presidential election, a report said Monday.

The Associated Press reported the move by Barr Monday evening, but did not provide specifics on what the probe would focus on or what allegations they would investigate.

President Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani have repeatedly made broad allegations of voter fraud in a number of states, but have not provided evidence for their claims.

Trump has filed lawsuits in a number of states that he either lost to former Vice President Joe Biden or is trailing in the vote count as the final ballots are tallied.

Biden secured his electoral college victory over Trump in the 2020 election with his projected win in Pennsylvania and Nevada on Saturday.

Biden is leading Trump in Arizona and Georgia, states that he will have flipped Democratic if he’s ultimately victorious in them.
