Followup on yesterday. "close to" does not mean insider, at least I don't think so. As hard as I tried to sort out the WHAT it was, the more confounded I became. Then I remembered that the NAs didn't "see" the ships coming in because their brains couldn't process the information as they'd not ever seen sailing ships before.
