Constitution requirements for Electors - BOOM!

I was just reading the constitutional rules for states selecting the electors in the electoral college. There are only two.

Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution states that electors can’t be a member of Congress, or hold federal office, but left it up to individual states to figure out everything else. According to the 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War,electors also can’t be anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or given aid or comfort to its enemies.”

Typically, a slate of electors are selected at national conventions of each party. Either way, political parties usually choose people whom they want to reward for their service to and support of the party. Electors can be elected officials or party leaders in the state, or people who have some kind of personal or professional connection with the party’s candidate.

How many Democrat electors do you think did NOT participate in this attempted overthrow? Can their votes be disqualified?

BOOM!

Interesting observation:

I have been a Neighborhood Lead in a large city on the Nextdoor Platform for many years. As the election started heated up, I created 4 closed city-wide groups - One for Democrats, One for Republicans, one for Independents and one for political debate. They all have huge memberships - a considerable amount more for Dems. (I'm in a red state). Other than to moderate behind the scenes, I only participate in the Repub group.

What I find very odd but interesting is that the while the Republican group is extremely active with hundreds if not thousands of posts daily, the other 3 groups are quiet. The Dem group (again much larger than the Repub) never has more than 10 posts a day - evem now after supposedly winning the election. We have a few in the debate room but the Dems always get chased off by the Repubs who go in armed with facts. Posted group rules does not allow insulting or name calling in any of the groups - thus taking away the Dems only tools for fighting).

The oddity of this makes me wonder if Dems have planted fake names in the Democrat group for the outside appearance of winning.
