Ok anons going to take a wild left field hit here…
Was doing some lateral searching for Red 6 meanings and connections from Qpost 4414, found the usual jargon as expected, but came across a little detail from a 'movie'…
So it turns out the call sign Red 6 is used in StarWars, and i quote:
«Ah. Red Six. Tough call sign. We lost a Red Six at the first Death Star battle, too. Jek Porkins, and R5-D8.»
So Red 6 was lost in battle, and in StarWars it references:
Red Six was a callsign used during both the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Starkiller Base.
The Battle of Yavin, also known as the Battle of the Death Star, the assault on the Death Star, or the Miracle of Yavin, was a major battle of the Galactic Civil War that led to the destruction of the first Death Star. It was a crippling blow to the Empire and one of the Rebel Alliance's first major victories.
The Battle of Starkiller Base, also referred to as the attack on Starkiller Base, the raid on Starkiller Base or the assault on Starkiller Base, was the first major battle fought between the First Order and the Resistance during the war between the two factions.
The battle was fought in 34 ABY with First Order TIE fighters and Resistance T-70 X-wing starfighters. The goal of the Resistance fighters was to disable and destroy the Starkiller Base superweapon in order to prevent the First Order, which was charging its primary weapon, from destroying the Resistance base on D'Qar and continuing a reign of terror.
Not sure about other anons, but the storylines of both battles relating sound quite interdasting. I'm rather uneducated to the intricacies of StarWars but not hard to see how easy it could be to draw parallels as has already been done in other discussions.
Was 'losing' Esper (Red 6) a sign of such a covert battle going on?
