Joe Biden, a proud Catholic, also has a very Jewish family

As Joe Biden preps to become the nation’s second Catholic president, the president-elect also has deep Jewish roots within his extended family.

Biden, 77, who regularly attends church near his home in Wilmington, Delaware, has been vocal about his Catholic upbringing, but all of his children grew up to marry Jewish spouses, The Jewish Chronicle reports.

Hallie Olivere, the wife of Biden’s late son, Beau, became Joe Biden’s first Jewish daughter-in-law when the pair got hitched in 2002.

The president-elect knew Olivere’s mother, Joan, since childhood and once joked that as a child he would’ve liked to have married her.

“I was the Catholic kid,” Biden said, according to the report. “She was the Jewish girl. I still tried. I didn’t get anywhere.”

In 2015, Beau Biden died of brain cancer and Olivere later began dating his brother, Hunter, who had been separated from his wife, Kathleen.

Joe and Jill Biden, both of whom are Roman Catholics, blessed the coupling, saying they had their “full and complete support.”

Hallie and Hunter Biden went their separate ways last year, partly due to the incessant media attention their relationship got from the press. Hunter Biden then met a Jewish South African filmmaker named Melissa Cohen and the pair got married within 10 days at her Los Angeles residence, The Jewish Chronicle reported.

The younger Biden marked the union by getting a tattoo of the word “shalom” in Hebrew letters to match that of Cohen’s, according to the report.

Ashley Biden, the only child from Joe Biden’s second marriage to Jill, also has a Jewish spouse — an ear, nose and throat specialist at a Philadelphia hospital named Howard Krein.

The pair tied the knot in 2002 during a mixed-faith Catholic-Jewish ceremony and Biden even danced the hora at the reception, the Jewish Chronicle reported.

“I’m the only Irish Catholic you know who had his dream met because his daughter married a Jewish surgeon,” Biden reportedly said in 2016.

Biden’s third child with his first wife, Neilia Hunter Biden, was killed during a car crash with her 30-year-old mother in 1972. Naomi Christina Biden was just 13 months old at the time.

The couple’s two sons, Beau and Hunter, survived.

Raytheon to Purchase Private Satellite Maker Blue Canyon Technologies

US defence contractor Raytheon agreed to buy the privately held satellite company Blue Canyon technologies for an undisclosed amount, according to a Raytheon press release.

"This acquisition enables us to deliver a broader range of solutions to support our customers' space missions - from sensing subsystems to mission systems integration and from launch and range support to on-orbit operations," Raytheon Intelligence and Space President Roy Azevedo said in the release on Tuesday.

Azevedo said what makes Blue Canyon Technologies the right fit for Raytheon is the company’s agile, innovative culture and expertise in small satellite systems and technologies.

Based in Boulder, Colorado with more than 200 employees, Blue Canyon Technologies was founded in 2008. The company currently has more than 90 satellites in production and has supported missions for the US Air Force, NASA and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the release said.

The deal expected to close in early 2021, depending on regulatory approvals, the release added.

Earlier this year, Raytheon announced that the US approved the Coyote Block 2 counter-drone weapon for sales to American allies against enemy drones and other aerial threats.

Wisconsin school board meeting descends into chaos when Black Lives Matter protesters chant and intimidate board members

Police had to come in and escort members out

Black Lives Matter protesters succeeded in disrupting and shutting down a local school board meeting in Wisconsin after they angrily confronted board members over an anti-racist curriculum.

The chaos unfolded at a meeting of the Burlington Area School District Board of Education in Burlington.

The protesters were angry about racist comments made on social media against a fourth-grade teacher in the school district that had taught a lesson many thought was political propaganda related to the Black Lives Matter protests.

"I'm sick of each and every one of you being silent!" said one mother to the board after speaking about racism against her son.

Protesters were allowed to publicly comment for about an hour but when board members tried to move on to other topics, they began chanting, "Black Lives Matter!" and "Shut it down!"

In a video of the incident posted by The Journal Times, protesters can be seen screaming and yelling at other members of the audience and getting in the faces of the school board members. One can be heard mocking a school board member about President Donald Trump.

After police shut down the event and escorted the school board members out of the room, the protest continued outside. One man claimed that the police pushed him and a scuffle appeared to break out as others tried to hold him back from escalating the situation.

"Stop holding motherfers back! If that's what they want to do, let them do it! The f?!" yelled one woman.

In another video from the event, Mike Ramczyk of the Burlington Standard Press reported that many of the protesters said that they were from Milwaukee and other communities outside of Burlington.

After the meeting, protesters encouraged each other to continue resisting racism through the use of the disruptive tactics employed at Karcher Middle School.

"We are non-violent, but we did not stay peaceful," said one protest speaker.

The Burlington School District serves about 3,100 students, with about 36% of those being minority students.

DC mayor defends Delaware trip as ‘essential,’ despite state being on DC’s COVID travel list

District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser defended her decision to attend the Saturday night victory speech from Joe Biden in Delaware as essential after receiving criticism for violating the travel restrictions by visiting Delaware, a state which is on DC’s list of high-risk states for the novel coronavirus.

Bowser was speaking to reporters on Tuesday when one of them, referred to as Sam, asked her if her trip to Delaware was considered essential travel.

“Absolutely,” she replied.

“Let me just say this, Sam,” Bowser continued. “I do a lot of things to advance the interests of the District of Columbia. And some of them are formal, and some of them are informal, but all of them are necessary.”

She had answered a question from the same reporter right before this remark, explaining that the reason for her trip to Delaware was “to congratulate the Biden-Harris team on a historic victory and celebrate, for Washingtonians, what will be a change at the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.” This remark was followed by applause from the crowd, too.

GOP List of Alleged Voter Fraud in Nevada Contains Hundreds of Military Addresses

A letter sent Nov. 5 on behalf of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign to Attorney General William Barr alleges that 3,062 voters who do not live in the state of Nevada "improperly cast" absentee ballots in the 2020 election.

But the list that accompanies the letter of those accused of "criminal voter fraud" contains hundreds of overseas military post office boxes and more than 1,000 locations where military personnel are stationed, such as Minot, South Dakota; Edwards and Fort Irwin, California; Hill Air Force Base, Utah; Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and Yuma, Arizona.

To at least one military spouse whose residences of Henderson, Nevada, and Davis, California, are listed with their specific nine-digit ZIP codes (exact addresses are not included) finding herself and her husband, an Air Force major, on the list was "shocking."

"To see my integrity challenged, along with other members of the military to be challenged in this way, it is a shock. And to be potentially disenfranchised because of these actions, that's not OK," said Amy Rose, who votes absentee and claims Henderson as her home while the couple is stationed in California.

Rose found her locations on the list after a copy of the letter, sent by Weir Law Group on behalf of the Trump campaign, as well as the list, were published on Twitter by Riley Snyder, a reporter with the Nevada Independent.

The list contains two people who lived in Henderson, Nevada, and now live in Davis, California, in the 95618 zip code, with the 6104 addition – the code that indicates a specific delivery route belonging to the couple.

"We put two and two together and realized, 'Yeah, Wow.' It's shocking to see ourselves there," Rose said.

According to the letter from Trump’s attorneys, the campaign cross-referenced the names and addresses of voters with the National Change of Address database maintained by the U.S. Postal Service.

Amy Rose lived in her home in Henderson until 2018, when she moved to Davis. This year, she applied for an absentee ballot in September and returned her vote via email shortly after receiving it.

Law enforcement agencies across the world seized tonnes of protected wildlife and forestry specimens and products, such as ivory, red sandalwood, and turtles, during a month-long Interpol-coordinated operation which saw hundreds of arrests and prompted investigations worldwide.

Operation Thunder 2020 lasted from September 14 to October 11, netted 699 offenders and had police and customs officers seize more than 2,000 wildlife and forestry products, Interpol stated Monday.

For instance in Cameroon, authorities seized 187 raw elephant tusks or 856 kg of ivory from a truck crossing the border from Gabon.

In Mexico, police rescued “an adult female white tiger, a jaguar and a four-month old lion cub in Sinaloa,” while police in Zimbabwe “thwarted the transfer of 32 live chimpanzees from the Democratic Republic of Congo,” according to the agency.

It also said that customs officials in India intercepted an 18-tonne shipment of red sandalwood destined for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while poachers in North Macedonia attacked five police and three forestry police officers, badly injuring two, who tried to prevent illegal logging activities.

The list includes numerous rare, endangered animals, woods or plants, such as more than 1.3 tonnes of ivory, more than one tonne of pangolin scales or approximately 1,700 killed pangolins, 56.2 tonnes of marine products, 87 truckloads or 950 tonnes of timber and more than 15.8 tonnes of plants, read the statement.

WAKE UP, LIBERALS! American Voters Are Smarter Than You Are

Ever since Election Day, the self-righteous hate parade has been marching its way across liberal media.

Too much support for Donald Trump!

Even amid general declarations of a Biden victory, liberal angst – and snobbish posturing – darken nearly every op-ed, “news analysis,” social media post and Twitter storm in which the Right Thinkers pontificate about the election returns.

And their message is always pretty much the same: too many Americans just don’t get it. Even after months of patient lectures from Right Thinkers, assuring us all that Donald Trump is personally responsible for every American evil from slavery to the latest respiratory virus, tens of millions of the dumb clucks actually voted for him! Whatever is the world coming to?

Well, trust the liberals to have an answer ready. If substantial majorities in dozens of states across the nation still prefer The Donald to Jolly Joe, it can only mean one thing: Americans are no good.

“[T]he outsize support Trump has continued to receive exposes America’s ‘soul’ for what it is,” lamented Andre M. Perry for the Brookings Institution the morning after the election. Brittney Cooper, a professor at Rutgers University, intoned on the same day – before many of the ballots had even been counted! – that “Donald Trump is the fault of white people. His rise is a direct result of white people’s collective rejection of the progress that the Obama era signaled.” In an equally vindictive temper, the Boston Globe cited “Black voters” who found widespread support for Trump to be proof of “the country’s failure to decisively reject racist policy,” a phenomenon they found “disappointing but not surprising.”

And so it went.

Now, if you yourself are one of those liberals who celebrated the Biden campaign as a “battle for the nation’s soul” (to borrow the old plagiarist’s own saccharine phrase), and if you’ve stumbled onto this column on your way to the more flattering and insular world of the New York Times editorial page, please allow me just a few words before you go.

No, I did not vote for Donald Trump. But I did expect him to poll even more successfully than he actually did this time around. And my reasons had precious little to do with liberal virtue-signaling.

Because the real secret of Trump’s popularity isn’t any of the things liberals are moaning about from their agenda-setting cenacles. What drives the Trump phenomenon is the hypocritical refusal of those same liberals to recognize, let alone to confess, the extent of their betrayal of American working people – and their inability to hear the public’s fury even when it’s shouted at them by millions of voices at a time.

All eyes have been on California district 21 as Republican David Valadao and Democrat TJ Cox continue to battle in Fresno County a week after Election Day.

As soon as Republican congressional candidate David Valadao pulled ahead of Democrat Cox on Tuesday night, elections officials halted counting ballots due to “Covid-19 exposure.”

Kings County’s Elections Department announced they are suspending canvassing operations until Saturday, November 21st due to a COVID-19 exposure.

“The Kings County Elections Department will be temporarily closed due to a COVID-19 exposure. As a precautionary measure, all Election canvass operations will cease effective immediately,” Kings County said in a statement.

“The canvass activities will resume on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 8:00 AM and will continue until the canvass is completed.” they added.

The last ballot dump out of CA21 put Republican Valadao ahead of Democrat Cox by 4,041 votes and just like that canvassing operations ceased!

California Republicans won several congressional seats this election cycle because President Trump carried the down ballot to victory.

Joe Biden did not get 75 million votes otherwise he would have carried down ballot Democrats to victory. Instead Democrats got shellacked.

Federal police smash child abuse network, 14 men arrested

The Australian Federal Police has dismantled an online child abuse network, with 14 men facing more than 800 charges and 46 alleged victims identified - including some from a childcare centre.

The 14 men face 828 charges of child exploitation, which were laid as part of Operation Arkstone.

AFP said 16 young people from a single childcare centre are among the alleged victims who have been identified as part of the investigation.
