The best therapy sometimes is detaching from the brainwashing boxes (TVs, computers) for a little while and going outside away from people and doing something enjoyable.

 

Try:

-Fishing

-Hiking

-Gardening

-Sports/Workouts

-Swimming

-Shooting

 

Basically anything you really enjoy that takes up a vast majority of your attention/effort.

 

Fix your car up. Clean it and make it perfect.

Paint your house.

Go get a dog. If you have one, teach it all the tricks you want it to learn. That takes longer than you think.

Plan a project for a specific time of year. Go into major detail with your plan, and prepare to actually go through with it.

Plan what you're going to do for Holidays. Plan a party or something.

Learn to cook something you don't know how to cook.

 

Making a new friend helps.

Getting into a new hobby helps. (instant new friends)

Reading books helps.

Focusing on family helps.

Do some chores you know you need to do.

Getting yourself closer to Jesus helps a lot too.

 

The best shrink is you, because you know what's wrong with you.

And if you don't, there's nobody better to help you figure it out.
