Europe To Pay Lower Price For Pfizer COVID Vaccine Than US

Even after the Trump Administration shelled out $2 billion in Operation Warp Speed money to secure 100 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine (don't listen to the MSM when it claims Pfizer hasn't benefited from government money), Europe has still somehow managed to secure a better price as part of a deal reported earlier on Wednesday.

Earlier today, Pfizer CEO Dr. Albert Bourla - who was also exposed for dumping a huge quantity of his stock, top-ticking the market - EU agreed to buy up to 300 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, sealing its newfound status as the most advanced, and most promising, vaccine effort in the West. Exploratory talks involving the deal were initially disclosed back in September, but the news of the deal on Wednesday propelled shares higher, even as insiders revealed they were headed for the exits.

Meanwhile, Reuters is reporting that under the terms of the EU deal, the per-dose price of the vaccine will be lower than in the US.

The bloc will pay less than $19.50 per shot, a senior EU official involved in talks with vaccine makers told Reuters, adding that partly reflected the financial support given by the EU and Germany for the drug's development.

The official requested anonymity as the terms of the agreement are confidential.

The United States agreed to pay $19.50 per shot for 100 million doses, a smaller volume than the EU. But it has an option to buy a further 500 million under terms to be negotiated separately, and the price it will pay is unclear.

BioNTech signalled this week that order size would impact the per-dose price in the developed world and said it would differentiate pricing between countries or regions for its potential vaccine.

The EU official said the EU had agreed a price that was closer to $20 than to $10 but declined to give a precise figure.

The EU has already signed deals with other vaccine makers including AstraZeneca and Sanofi, and has reportedly been in talks with others, including Novavax and Moderna. Immediately, we see the Pfizer vaccine is still priced higher than in other deals struck by the EU. However, insiders told Reuters that the liability side of the deal (concerning who would be responsible, and for what, if side effects emerge later) was different for the Pfizer deal.

The prices agreed by the EU in previous deals with vaccine makers have partly been influenced by liability terms, which could cause large additional legal costs if inoculated people developed unexpected conditions because of the shots.

Asked about liability clauses in the Pfizer contract, which have been a bone of contention between EU negotiators and drugmakers, the EU official said conditions were different from those the EU agreed with other companies, and also different from those Pfizer had with the U.S. government.

There was "no copy paste" on liability terms from previous contracts, the official said.

All of this is contingent on the vaccine being approved by the EU regulator, the European Medicines Agecy, of course.

Netanyahu says he spoke with Pfizer’s Jewish CEO, and that he believes Israel will secure a deal to purchase coronavirus vaccines from the company.

“I asked to speak with [CEO Albert Bourla], he agreed immediately. It turns out that Albert Bourla is very proud of his Greek and Jewish heritage… he told me he really appreciates the improvement in ties between Israel and Greece,” Netanyahu says in a video.

“After the conversation, that was very matter-of-fact and business-like, I am convinced we will seal a deal with Pfizer.”

A report on Channel 12 echoes Netanyahu’s claim that the two established a rapport, speaking about a synagogue in Thessaloniki where Bourla was married and which Netanyahu once visited.

Channel 12 reports the sides are discussing vaccines for three million people (six million doses, with each person getting two).

It also says Israel has agreed to a $100 million advance deposit for the vaccines.

Leandra English, Who Pretended to Run CFPB, Leads Biden CFPB Transition

Biden taps bevy of Obama alums for review of controversial financial agency

Leandra English, who spent months trying to seize control of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from President Donald Trump, will lead Joe Biden's transition team for the agency, the Biden campaign announced Tuesday.

English will be in charge of a team of seven others, including the legislative director for the United Autoworkers and six alums of the Obama-era CFPB. The group will advise the Biden campaign on taking over the agency when Biden assumes office in January.

English rose to public attention in 2017, when she claimed the role of acting CFPB director following the departure of Obama-era director Richard Cordray, in direct contention with Trump appointee Mick Mulvaney. In the ensuing months, English lost multiple court battles but continued her claim despite a lack of clarity on what, if anything, she was actually doing day-to-day. This stance made her a hero of the anti-Trump "resistance," with even Democratic leadership calling her the "rightful acting director."

English's appearance on the CFPB, therefore, is a harsh rebuttal to the Trump administration's regulatory agenda. Her appearance on the transition team—along with other Obama alums—indicates that a Biden-era CFPB will return to the aggressive regulatory posture adopted during the Obama administration.

English's protracted battle for control of the CFPB began when Cordray, inspired by two left-wing blog posts, appointed her as acting director just before the end of his term. When Trump appointed Mulvaney, English launched a legal challenge, funded by a mysterious third party, with the goal of denying Trump control of the agency.

English spent the following seven months claiming to be the legitimate leader of the CFPB, bolstered by congressional Democrats who ignored multiple rulings against her claim. After numerous court losses, English finally departed the agency following Trump's nomination of current director Kathy Kraninger to fill the role full time.

New York Times Columnist Urges Democrats to Commit Voter Fraud in Georgia

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman urged national Democrats to move to Georgia and vote in its upcoming Senate runoff elections—a clear violation of state law, should the voters leave after the races conclude.

"I hope everybody moves to Georgia, you know, in the next month or two, registers to vote, and votes for these two Democratic senators," Friedman said during a Monday-night CNN appearance.

Georgia election law does not include a length-of-residency requirement in order to vote in the state. It does, however, prohibit prospective voters from "residing in the state briefly with the intention just to vote and then move away."

"You do not have to establish residency for a period of time before an election in order to qualify to vote, but you do have to establish intent to remain a resident," Honest Elections Project executive director Jason Snead told the Washington Free Beacon. "You can't bus yourself in, register at the Holiday Inn, vote, and then leave two days later. That would clearly constitute fraud."

Party control of the Senate will be determined in the January 5 runoffs. Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler will face Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively, after all four candidates failed to receive a majority of votes in the November election. Both Ossoff and Warnock have relied on out-of-state donors to fund their campaigns, and the Democrats launched their runoff bids by fundraising with Silicon Valley progressives just days ago.

Some local activists have responded warmly to the call for non-Georgians to vote in the runoffs. Handmaids Coalition of Georgia organizer Tamara Stevens invited "Northern Democrats" and "West Coast Liberals" to flock to the state in order to vote in a recent Facebook post.

"You are all invited to spend the Winter in Georgia," Stevens wrote. "Come on down and we will cook for you too!!!"

Failed presidential candidate Andrew Yang announced on Saturday that he would be "moving to Georgia to help Ossoff and Warnock win." While he did not disclose if he plans to vote for the Democrats, he did note that there "isn't much time" before the state's December 7 registration deadline in a previous tweet.

Snead lambasted the strategy to coax out-of-state Democrats to move to Georgia to vote, calling it a "naked political power grab."

"My general reaction to this is, are you kidding me?" he said. "It's supposed to be the senator from the state of Georgia, and I think that Georgians have a right to select their representatives and have a government that is by and for the people of Georgia."

Neither Ossoff nor Warnock returned requests for comment.

Texas Social Worker Charged With 134 Felony Counts Of Elections Fraud

A social worker in Mexia, TX, has been charged with 134 counts of elections fraud for allegedly registering 67 nursing home patients without their permission and forging their signatures on voter registration documents. Further, 16 of these victims would have been ineligible to vote due to mental incapacitation.

Kelly Reagan Brunner, a social worker at the Mexia State Supported Living Center, has been charged with 134 counts in an election fraud investigation involving the registration of 67 of the facility’s residents, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced in a press release late Friday afternoon.

Brunner was arrested Nov. 2 and released the later that day after posting combined bonds of $35,000, according to jail records.

She’s accused of submitting voter registration applications for the 67 residents “without their signature or effective consent, while purporting to act as their agent,” Paxton said in the press release.

According to indictment documents obtained by KWTX, Brunner completed, signed, and submitted voter registration applications for people either: without their consent or who were “totally mentally incapacitated.”

Of the 67, 16 were ineligible to vote due to their mental incapacitation, records showed.

The Supported Living Centers, where Brunner worked, assisted people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Brunner allegedly registered 67 residents to vote without obtaining their signature or consent.

Turkish Miracle Weapons Used By Azerbaijan In Karabakh Appeared To Be Mostly Israeli Ones

The text below is based on the overview published by oleggranovsky.livejournal.com. It dates back to 2016, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Baku back in December 2016.

Under the first presidents of Azerbaijan, Ayaz Mutalibov (1990-1992), Isa Gambar (acting in 1992) and Heydar Aliyev (1993-2003), there was no information about the supply of Israeli weapons to Azerbaijan. Since 2003, the president of Azerbaijan is Ilham Aliyev (the son of Heydar Aliyev), and it was during this period that Israeli military exports to this country fell. Moreover, as far as is now known, the first contract was signed in 2005 – with the Israeli Military Industry (IMI) for the supply of the LYNX MLRS.

The first evidence of the presence of Israeli weapons in Azerbaijan appeared in 2008.

At the military parade in Baku on June 26th, 2008, personnel from the Azerbaijani special forces were seen with the Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle, alongside the tactical reconnaissance UAVs Orbiter-2M and Aerostar of Aeronautics were shown. In the same year, publications appeared on the supply of LYNX MLRS and missiles to them, UAVs of the above types and a number of other systems to Azerbaijan (by the way, not everything was later confirmed). And in early 2012, information appeared about a truly huge deal. Then it was published that in 2011 a contract was signed for 1.6 billion dollars between the “Israel Aviation Industry” (IAI) and an unnamed Asian country. Just a month later, on February 26th, 2012, the American newspaper The Washington Post reported that it was about Azerbaijan (which was later confirmed). Until now, the details of this contract are not known. What is confirmed – within its framework, Azerbaijan was supplied with the Barak-8 air defense system and a significant number of UAVs of various types.

On December 13th, 2016, during the already mentioned visit of Netanyahu to Baku, Ilham Aliyev, among other things, said that Azerbaijan had concluded various long-term agreements with Israel for the purchase of weapons and other defense products totaling $5 billion. We are talking about all contracts concluded so far, including those already completed. Almost 4 years have passed since then, respectively, there were new contracts, but their volume was not reported.

So, what is known about Israeli supplies to Azerbaijan in terms of types of weapons and their quantity?

UAVs, including loitering munitions

UAVs clearly rank first among Israeli military supplies to Azerbaijan. If in a number of categories, Israeli imports play a significant share in the armament of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces (anti-tank systems, 120-mm mortars, ballistic missiles and MLRS, patrol boats and ships, armored vehicles), in others it is clearly secondary (self-propelled guns, small arms), in others it is absent at all (tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, manned aircraft), the share of Israeli imports in UAVs was not just in first place: for almost 12 years (from 2008 to summer 2020), the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were fully equipped with Israeli UAVs (including loitering weapons ). And only a few months ago the situation changed: Azerbaijan received from Turkey armed Bayraktar TB2 UAVs and STM Kargu attack multicopters.

It is also interesting that Azerbaijan cooperates simultaneously with all large and a number of small Israeli UAV manufacturers. The first in 2007 was Aeronautics (the third largest manufacturer, from 02.09.19 owned by Rafael), in 2008 the first contract was signed with Elbit (the second manufacturer), and as part of the 2011 deal it started cooperation with IAI (1st manufacturer). And there were also contracts with BlueBird Aero Systems and EMIT Aviation (the latter shuttered in 2010).

Russian Peacekeepers Get Into Position, As France Offers “Message Of Support To Armenian Friends” (Updated)

“A subdivision of the peacekeeping formation, which flew from the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny airfield to the Republic of Armenia, is marching to the area where the tasks of controlling the ceasefire and hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are carried out,” the Russian military department said.

The march takes place as part of regular units. “The military columns will have to travel more than 250 km and deploy a peacekeeping contingent with the deployment of Russian observation posts along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor,” the Russian Defense Ministry told the agency.

Earlier it was reported that 20 Il-76 military transport aircraft with officers of the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces and servicemen of units of the 15th peacekeeping brigade had already landed in the Republic of Armenia. They delivered more than 400 servicemen, materiel, armored personnel carriers, automotive and special equipment, communications.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Turkey would also be involved in peacekeeping efforts but there was no mention of it in the agreement.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Ankara and Moscow would jointly supervise the ceasefire at a “joint center to be designated by Azerbaijan in its lands saved from Armenia’s occupation.”

He hailed the truce as a “right step in the direction of a lasting solution.”

The Illusion Of Freedom Examined

Project Veritas Releases RAW and UNEDITED Audio of 2 Hour Coercive Interrogation of USPS Whistleblower Richard Hopkins by Federal Agents

Project Veritas Tuesday night released a video with USPS whistleblower Richard Hopkins asserting that he did not recant his allegations of election fraud, a lie that was published by the Washington Post.

Additionally, James O’Keefe posted recordings of federal agents attempting to coerce and intimidate Hopkins into recanting.

The tactics used to coerce and intimidate the USPS whistleblower is something you would see in a Communist country.

It was chilling.

Hopkins made major waves when he went on record about Postmaster Rob Weisenbach’s orders to backdate ballots to November 3rd in Erie, Pennsylvania, so that late ballots would be accepted.

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be considered valid and counted, per US law.

In the newly released recording, Agent Russell Strasser says that “I am trying to twist you a little bit.”

“We have senators involved. We have the Department of Justice involved. We have-” Strasser says.

“Hopkins interjects that Trump’s lawyers have also been in contact with him.

“I am not — I am actually. I am trying to twist you a little bit because in that, believe it or not, your mind will kick in,” Strasser says. “We like to control our mind. And when we do that, we can convince ourselves of a memory. But when you’re under a little bit of stress, which is what I’m doing to you purposely, your mind can be a little bit clearer. And we’re going to do a different exercise too, to make your mind a little bit clearer. So, this is all on purpose,” Strasser said.

Adobe Acquiring Management Platform Specialist Workfront For $1.5 Billion

Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) is reaching deep into its coffers for a new asset buy. The company announced Tuesday that it signed a deal to acquire privately held office software specialist Workfront for $1.5 billion.

The two companies are longstanding business partners. According to Adobe, it and Workfront which it describes as "the leading work management platform for marketers" currently share more than 1,000 clients. Workfront's total customer count is over 3,000, while Adobe's user base tops 1 million.

Adobe''s client list is varied and includes such familiar companies as Under Armour, Home Depot, and Deloitte.

Workfront's platform will be added to Adobe's Experience Cloud, an omnibus software platform that includes numerous marketing and analytical functionalities.

In Adobe's press release touting the acquisition, Executive Vice President and General Manager Anil Chakravarthy said that the "combination of Adobe and Workfront will further accelerate Adobe's leadership in customer experience management, providing a pioneering solution that spans the entire lifecycle of digital experiences, from ideation to activation."

Adobe has not specified how it will fund the acquisition. As of Aug. 28, the company had nearly $3.8 billion in cash and equivalents on its books.

The company expects the deal to close in Q1 of its fiscal 2021. The acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant regulatory bodies. Until the transaction is complete, Adobe and Workfront will continue to operate as independent companies. Following that, current Workfront CEO Alex Shootman will continue to lead that business while reporting to Chakravarthy.

QAnon Legal Battle Against YouTube Could Transform Free Speech Online

The welding of American politics with social media may be the defining moment of a sea change that is taking place at the very top echelons of power in the United States and the world. In the run-up to the 2020 U.S. elections, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube all revealed their inescapable ties to the establishment when they launched an information warfare campaign against their own users and content creators in a bid to shape perceptions and control national discourse on the government’s behalf.

As the most contentious election in living memory drags on days after the vote, itself, the massive purge of profiles and content deemed politically dangerous carried out by the most popular social media platforms just over two weeks before Election Day, went practically unnoticed by everyone other than those who were actually de-platformed and their followers.

In mid-October, Google-owned YouTube and other social media giants purged the accounts of the most popular QAnon channels, spurring a class-action lawsuit against the video streaming platform filed in the Northern District of California later that month.

The case

A total of eight QAnon YouTube stars and seven more unnamed plaintiffs brought a first amendment suit against Google and its subsidiary YouTube on October 26, alleging a violation of their constitutional right to free speech and of the companies’ own terms of service (TOS) agreements. Among those named in the complaint are Polly St. George, who despite being fairly new on the scene has accumulated a considerable following and Dave Hayes, a.k.a Preying Medic, who is one of QAnon’s more popular “Q drops” interpreter, deciphering the supposedly coded messages for the masses of Q followers.

After a curious request by the plaintiffs for a change on the bench, the trial came to a quick conclusion on November 3, when the judge dismissed the complaint on the grounds that they were unlikely “to succeed with claims that YouTube violated its terms of service.”

Given how the trial unfolded and other notable details surrounding the case, it is more than likely that the QAnon cohort suing YouTube was looking for a quick and unfavorable result in the district court in order to pursue its constitutional argument in a higher court on appeal; a tactic developed by legal teams funded over decades by a network of conservative billionaires, like Charles Koch, to change the laws in favor of their business enterprises at the expense of the common interest.

Despite the extensive arguments made in the complaint over free speech and of YouTube’s infringement on First Amendment rights, the filing only sought an emergency injunction to compel the company to reinstate the deleted channels and content. Their true intentions, however, became manifest when the plaintiffs divorced their constitutional arguments from the current legal action, prompting the judge to rule on a different basis and allow the QAnon stars to pursue these “at a later time.”

Joe Biden’s India Connections

US Presidential candidate Joe Biden during his maiden visit to India in 2013 had mentioned his distant relatives living in Mumbai. A couple of years later, he reiterated that there were five Bidens living in Mumbai, whom he was related to.

Jerome Anthony of CNBC-TV18 spoke to the Bidens in Nagpur and Mumbai to find out whether or not they are related to Joe Biden and what was their correspondence with the then Senator.

Ian Biden, his sister Sonia Francis nee Biden, and their mother Angelina Biden are based in Nagpur. So is Ian and Sonia’s first cousin Rowena Biden. Ian said that a letter written by his maternal grandfather Leslie Biden to Senator Joe Biden in 1981 discussed ancestors John Biden and his wife Anne Beaumont who were married in 1781. CNBC-TV18 has a copy of the letter but is not publishing it on request.
