Calling all autists of the chess-playing variety …

I think this needs to be checked and double-checked.

All pix related. (Sorry there are so many.)

So, the Four Seasons presser with Giuliani has been bugging the hell out of me. It looks akin to a chess board The odd campaign poster would put Pence in the King’s Knight position on a traditional 8x8 board. This is a 7x6 board (or 6x7, depending on the POV).

Assuming this is a 7x6 board, there are variants listed in one of these screen grabs. Pence block’s coordinates should be significant. UNLESS, we are to ignore that row, making it a 6x6 board, which would be a possible variant of chess played without Bishops (hmmmmm), called “Los Alamos” (double-hmmmmmm).

Back to the 7x6 board …

There is a version that looks promising. I do not know enough about chess “strategery” (Kek) to drill down further, so have at it.

God speed and Happy Veterans’ Day to all who have served. You are appreciated in our home.

Correct! This was noted several breads ago, but I don’t think anyone could figure out why.

To me, it looks like a position on a chess board. It had to have been placed. On a traditional, 8x8 board, that would be the King’s Knight at G8, if that is the top of the board.

HOWEVER, this is a 7x6 board and I do not know how to read these coordinates nor what piece occupies that position. That’s why I need autists. Might benotable, might not. But, it is odd enough to stand out and set off my Spidey Senses.

I did say 7x6, unless we are to ignore the “spoiled” row (think “spoiled” ballots).

Viewing a chessboard as a spectator, it could be a 6x7 board, with us viewing from the 4th wall (the TV screen). Then, opponents would be on our left and right.

I need autists on this. I know this is significant.
