I think I know what a rotation and split rotation are…

Changing the order of appearance on the screen is rotation. It is done to avoid selection order bias in a survey. First in order has an advantage.

Split rotation is only rotating the major candidates. So the socialist candidate never appears first, just the major Candidates.

Some speculation here, but think this has a good chance of being right…
