>What makes the bible the only thing right?

Good question, I'd say the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Admittedly, the Bible doesn't answer every question man can pose, but then Salvation thru Christ is the ultimate answer, Anon. Not into preaching here, live and let live as sooner or later we all die.

Agree on the name Jesus and title Christ, but my God, no name can top that Name, ever. It embodies all things good. My beliefs are influenced by more than just the Bible like the Urantia Book (careful!), Swedenborg, Book of Enoch, and a few of the writings by the Saints. So I can relate to your initial well meaning question on why only the Bible. The ancient Indian writing preclude the other texts, if I am not mistaken, despite attempts to deny this.

Im an atheist born Protestant turned Catholic at 33.

Other than the validity of the Host & Wine, I'm not bound by much else other than faith. I don't really believe in preaching, rather by a life inspired by God to do unto others as they would do unto me, and that has cost me plenty in this God forsaken place.

Blessings your way brother, this thread is done soon!
