Kennard became Chairman of AT&T on November 6th, 2020, replacing Randall Stephenson who had been chairman of the board since 2007.

Kennard timeline:

  • 1997-2001 - FCC Chairman

  • 2009-2013 - US Ambassador to the European Union

  • 2014 - co-founder of Astra Capital Management, based in Washington DC.

Astra has acquired majority stake in the following three companies, which form its portfolio (KEK, yes folks, only three companies in its portfolio):

  • Communication Technology Services, LLC

A U.S. provider of wireless infrastructure services, CTS designs, installs and operates secure, dense, and mission-critical in-building wireless networks and technology.

  • DartPoints

DartPoints is an owner and operator of edge colocation data centers.

  • Logix Fiber Networks

The largest fiber network provider in Texas, a leading provider of business, data, and voice solutions, and operator of high-performance colocation data center facilities in Houston, Austin and Dallas.

Seems to be only internet infrastructure type of companies.

Could be helpful to control the infrastructure if you needed to kill the internet or keep certain types of traffic that were routed to polling places hidden.
