I had never heard of rumble.com 3 days ago, and now they've already pissed me off.

"Verify your account" they said, "just give us your email" they said, so I did.

Then I go to comment on an SGT Report video and I'm told I can't until I "verify my account." But I already did… I got a big congratulations screen once I clicked the e-mail link. No, you need to give us your phone number if you want "comment verified." ALL I GET ARE TELEMARKETING calls… Rumble will be an absolute last resort for me. Maybe my reaction is irrational, but I HATE the bait and switch game.

The replacement platforms seem to generally suck ~as bad as what we're trying to escape, whether privacy or service related. No censorship is great, but Parler feels like street-preaching in an open field instead of a city corner, and some of these video apps are as intuitive/user friendly as that failed product you've never heard of because it wasn't either.
