"An Election Security Disaster - Hybrid Voting Machines (Part 2: What's Behind This Deal?)"
"A new type of hybrid voting machine with a security flaw so serious that election security experts say there is no way to mitigate the problem without changing the design of the machine, is being rapidly sold across the country; six swing states have already purchased these machines.
As we delve further into our investigation of hybrid voting machines. We examine why one county - Westchester County NY - would purchase these voting machines.
We find that contrary to the claims of the Westchester County Election Officials, the machines are not supported by disability advocates, and not required for Early Voting. Meanwhile the cost of the machines is projected at six million dollars and the county is already in debt and recently had its bond rating downgraded.
Voters with disabilities raise the concern that the machines will cause long lines because voters with disabilities and voters waiting to scan their ballots will need to use the same station.
Because of these factors, residents of Westchester County are expressing concern that the deal to purchase the voting machines may be designed to benefit someone other than the public".
