Your guess is as good as mine. I thought it was weather related, but once the radars finished shining their targets the map went back to all clear. Not sure what we're seeing. Plus if you look at the national map, their are radars shining point targets from the looks of things. Like wtf is San Diego blasting to the south of it?

 

There's a lot of stuff going on here that just looks off. Probably going on all the time.

Yeah, it's not wx related. Composite reflectivity is what I was looking for is the brightest targets at any altitude, vs base reflectivity is just looking for rain at the base of the clouds.
