Not starting a Meyers Briggs slide, but most people are S type. They learn about the world through there senses. Thus they put high trust in those who provide them info, because if not, they would have no way to understand what they can't observe.

N types figure out how things work. Much more rare. They then take incoming data and question info that doesn't match their mental models. Sometimes they adjust models, sometimes they flag data.

Those who flag more are J types because their models always contain values/principles/odds/and precedent. P types, who can believe mutually exclusive data sets readily, and will debate both sides for a very long time basically until reality punks them.

Intellect is an important factor, for while S types can be geniuses, idiots cannot be N types. Thus the difference in numbers.
