Ben Goldacre’s books well worth a read. Most doctors mean well but get indoctrinated and project their own morality / values on others without critical consideration.
Grants / pharma money go to those that not only drink the kool aid but go all in to play up, play up and play the game of crawling up the greasy pole.
They write the research, peer-review the research, are on the grant funding bodies for the the research etc
