There's a herbal extract called artemisinin which, like hcq, is effective against malaria and many viruses. It's an anti-inflammatory that can prevent immune system overreaction, which is what kills a lot of covid patients, especially men with cardiac problems.
You can get it on amazon or elsewhere without a prescription. The doctors will think it isn't a real medicine because it's a herbal extract, but the Nobel prize in medicine was awarded to the woman who discovered it.
So you can probably give it to your dad and the doctors won't care. But it might prevent a cytokine storm that could kill him.
