My employer had COVID and was hospitalized ten days, nearly died.
Now my dad has it and is not expected to make it.
The hospital will not give him HCQ - not in their policy.
The struggle is real.

My employer had COVID and was hospitalized ten days, nearly died.
Now my dad has it and is not expected to make it.
The hospital will not give him HCQ - not in their policy.
The struggle is real.
The doctor was asking me to approve dialysis because his kidneys seem to be failing.
He's 93. My sister and I said no.
I know that. But he is old-school, would have it no other way.
His first symptom was just a mild fever, could not pee the next.
Soon as I got him there, he was needing oxygen, then a ventilator.
Wasn't much time to shift gears.
Oh, I have Cordyceps, and take it.
Its good stuff over time, but it would not have acted fast enough.
And he did not believe in that stuff.
I knew that. I know everything anybody here knows about it, and more than most.
But the elderly are very stubborn and entrenched in their beliefs, trust.
It wasn't until they put him under sedation for the ventilator that decision making (what little they outsource) fell to me.
