They didn't "take" anything. Christianity is a sect of original Judaism. The entire early Church were Jews, starting with the 12 Apostles chosen by the Jewish Messiah. Has nothing to do with "popes" or anyone else later. And that canon was in use long before them. They just affirmed it.

>SATAN given control of the world.

Not exactly. Christ's Resurrection changed everything: "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me." - Matthew 28:18. Satan is merely left to wander "like a roaring lion". Don't listen to preachers who emphasize Satan's power any more than that. Some love to give Satan authority for some reason. It's deception. Christ is in control.

Did you just hear what I said? The Resurrection changed everything. You're quoting before the Resurrection. Stop being so defeatist. His Church has conquered the whole globe - starting even with the Roman empire that was such a menace in his time. And it's still here. Cheer up.

Some evil is allowed still, but it's our job - the Church's job - to be lights to the world, as he said. To spread the Gospel and reshape the world. The minute you take on this defeatist attitude, you stop doing your job of spreading the Good News of Christ's resurrection. Man up.
