You are, however, condemned by the First Anathema of the Council of Ephesus, 431:
-If any one will not confess that Emmanuel is truly God, and that the holy Virgin is therefore the Mother of God (Theotokos) (since she bore in the flesh, the Word of God made Flesh); Let him be Anathema.-
Arias and his followers did not deny the pre-existence of the Logos. They denied that the Logos is uncreated. The specific identifier of the root of Arian error was the belief that: “there was a time when he [the Logos] was not.”
