It's possible. But I highly doubt the world will end.
Catastrophe, maybe. End of world, not nearly as likely.
But yes, underground bunkers, well stocked, would be nice if one intends on riding out an extreme cosmic catastrophe. However, there are some catastrophes which I'd imagine would be moar devastating to those in underground bunkers.
